The Evolution of Consciousness is a one woman mystic rock opera. 

Not unlike the hero’s journey, the show moves through the stages of awakening, from innocence through struggle to self actualization, shifting between both the perspective of the universe at large and that of the individual. Incorporating live singing, movement, ornate visuals, and original music made primarily by looped voices, the Evolution of Consciousness explores the idea that true enlightenment is not found in the duality of light and dark but rather in the recognition and acceptance of our own capacity for both.

Squeaky Wheel Theatre Group is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created with the hope of making an inclusive and accepting artistic environment that is unafraid to be loud, push boundaries, and challenge both artists and audiences alike. We feel that theatre and theatre education should be accessible to everyone and strive to keep ticket and workshop prices at a level that both allows us to continue our work while not making attendance an undue hardship.
