Karma Kandlewick, one of Sarasota’s illustrious burlesque performers, has a long, kind of unnaturally long history. Known as The Quadruple Threat: she sings, she dances, she acts and she takes her clothes off for strangers, but before that she was one of the Kandlewick Sisters or if you’re a Shakespeare buff, the Weird Sisters… or maybe the Moirai, if you’re into that sort of thing. But being a Fate isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, especially if your real name is Atropos, the cutter of the thread of life. It’s never too late to change jobs though, right? Oprah did it… Karma is the 2020 Florida Burlypicks Master of Comedy. This is an origin story, a tale of making your own path, that no good deed goes unpunished and that (of course) karma is a bitch.
