Spruce Mountain High School Theater
Spruce Mountain High School Theater began twelve years ago, born from the merging of theater programs at Jay and Livermore Falls. Since then, it has flourished into a vibrant community of young performers, technicians, and artists. Each winter, SMHS Theater delights audiences with a full-scale musical production, showcasing the talents and dedication of its students. In addition to the musical, the theater program is actively involved in the Maine Drama Festival every spring, where students compete at the regional and state levels. Over the past six years, SMHS Theater has won the Regional Drama competition twice, most recently in 2024 with their fast-paced, comedic performance of Every Novel You Read in High School in 25 Minutes or Less. The program continues to inspire students and audiences alike with its commitment to excellence in theater arts.
