Charles Sullivan (Mysterious Man/Narrator)
Charles Sullivan is delighted to be back with his Spotlight friends for the first time since Mamma! Mia! He is the Executive Director of Ghostlight Players, for which he directed "Five Women Wearing the Same Dress" and "Pride and Prejudice". Past acting credits include the title character in “The Rise and Fall of Falstaff”, Robert in “Proof”, Mister Cladwell in "Urinetown", Benjamin Franklin in "1776", Herr Schultz in "Cabaret" and Sheridan Whiteside in "The Man Who Came to Dinner", as well as Big Daddy in "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof", Sir Thomas More in "A Man for All Seasons", Pandarus in “Troilus and Cressida”, Satan in “The Last Days of Judas Iscariot”’ Pilate in Jesus Christ, Superstar! and Ebenezer Scrooge in "Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol". He is co-directing and performing in The Maltese Falcon for Ghostlight this March.
Marcello DiMarzio (Jack)
Marcello DiMarzio is a sophomore at Monsignor Farrell High School, and is thrilled to be a part of his first Professional production. Last year, he appeared in Jesus Christ Superstar, produced by the Farrell players as a Priest. Marcello is passionate about theater and grateful for every opportunity to take the stage and perform. He sincerely thanks his parents and his directors for their support, and he looks forward to many more shows ahead!
Laura Fries (Jack's Mother)
Laura Fries is excited to be joining Spotlight Theatre! She is an acting teacher at LaGuardia High School where she loves directing musicals, but is very happy to be getting back on the stage herself after too long away! Most of her previous performing credits were on the West Coast, but you may have recently seen her sporting a habit in Spotlight's The Sound of Music. Thanks and love to her new husband, Dominick, who supports her while she burns the candle at both ends!
Madina Hall (Milky White)
Madina Hall is thrilled to be making her debut with the Spotlight Repertory Theatre Company. She has previously appeared in the Spotlight Theatre's summer productions of Footloose (Youth Edition), Alice in Wonderland, Jr., and Spongebob Squarepants (Youth Edition). A sophomore at Susan E Wagner High School, she has appeared in the musical Matilda, and will perform in a production of Chicago (High School Edition) this spring. Connor Burke (Steward) is overjoyed to be journeying into the woods with this sensational cast and crew! You may remember him from past performances on Staten Island like Kiss Me Kate (Gremio) and The Secret Garden (Albert) with Spotlight, The Importance of Being Earnest (Jack) and Puffs (Ernie Mac & Friends) with SIST, and Urinetown (Mr. McQueen) and The Rise and Fall of Falstaff (Lord Mortimer/Artist) with Ghoslight. Jonathan Hallowell (Baker)
Jonathan is thrilled to be back with his Spotlight family and honored to be digging into such a beautiful and layered show! Past Spotlight credits include Dr. Craven in Secret Garden, Smee in Peter and the Starcatcher, in the ensembles of Back to Before and Sing a Song of Sondheim, Franz in The Sound of Music, Grimwig in the ensemble of Oliver!, Drosselmeyer in Nutcracker, and Stanley in the ensemble of Hello, Dolly! Originally from the mile-high city of Denver, Colorado, Jonathan received his BFA from the University of Wyoming. Favorite past credits include Junie B. Jones, Charlotte’s Web, Woman in Mind, and The Lion in Winter.
Samantha Chiodo (Baker's Wife)
Samantha Chiodo, an NYC-based RN, is so happy to be joining Spotlight for their production of Into the Woods. While not at the hospital, she coaches the Varsity Swim Team for Staten Island Academy. Samantha's a passionate singer, who has sung often for FDNY-related functions over the past few years in honor of her late father. She was last seen on the Spotlight stage as Sister Berthe in The Sound of Music. This show is a personal, absolute favorite and she’s overjoyed to get to work with this wildly talented cast. Love to Mom, Jess, and her favorite angel- who never left for good-Dad. Break legs to all, and GO TO THE WOOD!
Haley Vogel (Little Red)
Haley Vogel- Actor, Singer, Dancer, Musician. A southern gal from Charlotte, North Carolina, living her big city dreams! She just recently graduated with a degree in Musical Theatre from Wagner College and is currently based in New York City! She has performed at reputable venues including 54 Below, the Lincoln Center, and The Tank NYC. She is a staff member at Spotlight, instructing both private lessons and group courses! Apryl Arden (Witch)
Apryl Arden is delighted to return to the Spotlight stage in such a meaty and exciting role! Into the Woods was their very first musical when they were a child and it is so exciting that they get to return to the show in their dream role of the Witch! Apryl has been a longtime Spotlight veteran, first appearing in Matilda back in 2018, and has stuck around for Violet, Bat Boy, Sing a Song of Sondheim, Robyn Hood, and Martha in the Secret Garden. Previous Sondheim roles include Squeaky Fromme in Assassins and Johanna in Sweeney Todd. Previous witch roles include Glinda in the Wizard of Oz. Other previous fun roles include cruise ships, national tours, regional gigs, and a few off-Broadway moments. Much love to my Spotlight family!
Monica Ugarte (Rapunzel)
Monica ugarte is a graduate from Brooklyn College with a Bachelor’s degree in Theater. She has performed in various productions including: Chicago (Roxie Hart), Les Misérables (Fantine),Baby (Liz) Water by the Spoonful (Yasmine), El Huracán (Alicia/Dr.Kempler/Val), Sunday In The Park With George (Celeste/ Harriet Pawling), Around the World in 80 Days (Princess Aouda), Peter and The Starcatcher (Prentiss), Ride The Cyclone (Constance Blackwood). She is also a stage manager and an aspiring Scenic designer. Monica played the Witch in Spotlight jrs production in 2021. She is thrilled to be doing Into The Woods again with the Rep company as Rapunzel!
Meggan Audrey (Stepmother)
Meggan Audrey has become a choreographer/director at Spotlight for the past few years working on Chicago, The Wizard of Oz, Kiss Me Kate, The Lion King, Jr, and Matilda to name a few. She also was most recently seen in Spotlight Repertory Theatre’s production of Back to Before! Favorite Performance Credits: The Gift of the Magi (Carnegie Hall, Eric Whitacre), Newsies (Spotlight Repertory), Footloose (Surflight), The Producers (Woodstock Playhouse), Chicago (Forestburgh Playhouse), Smokey Joe’s Cafe (Weathervane Theatre). Meggan has also performed as a backup vocalist for Liz Callaway in Lincoln Center and Deke Sharon in Carnegie Hall. TV credits: The John Oliver Show. Graduate of Pace University, BFA. Michelle Pagano (Florinda)
Michelle is excited to make her Spotlight Theatre Company debut! Michelle’s credits included: Tiny Tim/ Little Fan in the National touring company of A Christmas Carol. Michelle also enjoyed being a part of the Entertainment team aboard Disney Cruise Line from 2021-2023. Michelle’s past Staten Island theatre credits include: Alice in You Can’t Take it With You (Ghostlight Players); Ensemble in A Dream Play (SIST); Anya in The Cherry Orchard (SIST); The Detective in Clue:The Musical (Sundog Theatre); and Little Sally in Urinetown (Ghostlight Players).
Amanda Rose Benjamin (Lucinda)
Amanda Rose Benjamin (Lucinda) is thrilled to be going Into The Woods in her first Spotlight production! Most recently, Amanda made her Off-Broadway Debut at the Gene Frankel Theater in "Custom Options", written by Staten Island Playwright Matt Gilleece. Past roles include Laura in "The Glass Menagerie" (SVPT), Abigail in "The Crucible" (SVPT), Ophelia in "Hamlet" (SVPT), Babe in "Crimes Of The Heart" (Ghostlight Players), Honey in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" (SVPT), Gluttony/Robin in "Doctor Faustus" (SIST), and Amy in "Company" (Hemlock Theater Co.). Next up, she will be playing Masha in SIST's production of "The Seagull" in March. Last year, Amanda directed for the Women's Playwright Collective's Not Forgotten Play Festival and assistant directed SIST's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow". A graduate of St. Joseph Hill, Amanda holds a B.A. in Theater from Hunter College and a MPS from LIM College. Amanda studies voice under Elizabeth McCullough and is thankful for her coaching and kindness all these years. She would like to thank everyone at Spotlight for giving her the chance to be in one of her dream shows! Olivia Bloch (Cinderella)
Olivia Bloch is a Brooklyn-based actor, singer, producer, and artist. Some of her recent credits include Wendla in Spring Awakening (City Theatre Company), Elinor Dashwood in Sense and Sensibility, and producing/performing in 54 Sings Lorde at 54 Below. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from American University's Musical Theatre program in 2023. Kim Fiorello (Cinderella's Mother and The Giant )
KIM FIORELLO: (Stage Manager/Cinderella’s Mother/Granny) Kim is beyond thrilled to be not only the Stage Manager for this “Giant” production, but also, she is honored to have a couple of cameos throughout the show alongside these incredibly talented actors. She has performed in a bunch of Spotlight shows over the years including Fierce Females, School of Rock (Theo), Songs of the Season -A Concert of Life and Love (featured singer) & most recently Peace, Love & Cupcakes (Mrs. Shotlan). Kim has been such a big part of the Spotlight family since 2019. You can mostly find Kim stage managing not only our Repertoire shows but also our Spotlight children’s theatre productions and she absolutely loves every minute of it. Working with such talented kids is such an incredible experience as she gets to teach them and watch them learn and grow into incredible actors over the years. She not only is a performer/stage manager, but she is also a director and has directed 3 Spotlight productions, including the last 2 years at St. Clares School (Annie & Peter Pan). For the past 11 years, she has loved being a Music Together teacher working for Mary at “Staten Island Family Music” as well as Alphabet Academy preschool where she gets to teach music and theatre to the little ones. A proud graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC, Kim has performed in many productions over the years. Some of her favorite roles in different community theatre shows have been Audrey in “Little Shop of Horrors”, The Narrator in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, Ellen in “Miss. Saigon” (A Paris Arté Documentary), Rosemary in “How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying” and Cleo in “I Love My Wife”. In her free time, you can see her and her hubby Joe rocking out, playing different bars, weddings and private parties with their cover band since 2008 called “ATOMIC KRUSH & ACOUSTIC KRUSH”. Kimmie would like to thank her loves Joe & their hockey loving son Jagger for their constant love, encouragement and unwavering support. These two are her greatest inspiration and she knows that she could not do all of this without them by her side. She would also like to Thank Mary and Soupy for being such amazingly, talented humans and creating a safe, fun place for all of us to shine. Whether it is on the stage or behind the scenes, there is always an opportunity to learn, grow, create and fulfill your passion for theatre. She was awarded the “Spotlight Theatre SPOTTY Award” this past 2025 and is so honored to be a part of such an incredible company.
Corey Loftus (Cinderella's Prince/Wolf)
This is Corey’s 13th production with Spotlight. He first went Into the Woods in university (as Jack) and has longed to return since. Dear audience -> listen with keen ears and open hearts. This show’s lyrical treasures and timeless themes are new-made on each experience. All love to this amazing theater company, Jacques + Mary Lee; my family: Francesca, Teddy, Gigi, Lucy, and little Remy, dear Mom and Dad, siblings, friends who are like family. Andrew McNamara (Rapunzel's Prince)
ANDREW MCNAMARA (Rapunzel’s Prince) is excited to be back with Spotlight Theatre as part of Into the Woods, having recently appeared in Back to Before, Around The World in 80 Days, and Hello, Dolly!.
