Baby Cast

Anna Barrett is thrilled to be a part of Baby at Spotlight Theatre Company. A Canadian performer based in New York, Anna has worked on many exciting projects. Favorite credits include Maya (Ice Queen at 92NY), Stephenville Theatre Festival: Elle Woods (Legally Blonde ), Regina (Rock of Ages), Schwartzy (25th...Spelling Bee), Pinocchio (Pinocchio), and Clown 3 (A Christmas Carol at Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble). She is a proud graduate of the Manhattan School of Music '24. Anna is also loving the Staten Island Ferry —who knew a commute could feel so glamorous?

Monica Ugarte is a recent graduate from Brooklyn College with a Bachelor’s degree in Theater. She has performed in various productions including: Chicago (Roxie Hart), Les Misérables (Fantine), Into The Woods (The Witch), Water by the Spoonful (Yasmine), El Huracán (Alicia/Dr.Kempler/Val), Sunday In The Park With George (Celeste/ Harriet Pawling), Around the World in 80 Days (Princess Aouda), Peter and The Starcatcher (Prentiss), and recently Kiss me Kate (Hattie). She is also a stage manager and an aspiring Scenic designer who has worked on recent spotlight productions (Frog and Toad, Mamma Mia, Alice In Wonderland Jr, and Kiss Me Kate).

Joshua Taylor Piper (He/Him) is an actor and playwright hailing from Katy, Texas. He’s an MFA Playwriting candidate at Pace after graduating from Wagner this past spring. He was recently seen in his plays Café Americano (Texas) at the Wild Project and then prior to that at the Teatro Latea, and Seam Route (Griffin) at The Tank. His play Fireflies Taught Us Pyromania will be performed at the Hudson Guild Theater in June and he’d love to see y’all there! Recent educational credits include: Me and My Girl (Lord Battersby/Ensemble), The Boys In The Band (Cowboy), and Cabaret (Kit Kat Boy). Zack Pascarello is incredibly excited to be playing Danny in Baby! Zack attended Fairleigh Dickinson University, studying Acting and Technical Theater. Past credits include: Julius Caesar (Brutus), Into the Woods (Mysterious Man), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Demetrius), and Crimes of the Heart (Doc Porter). They would like to thank their partner, friends & family for their unconditional love and support!

Meggan Audrey has become a choreographer/director at Spotlight for the past few years working on Chicago, Beetlejuice, Hello Dolly, The Lion King, Jr, and Seussical to name a few. She also most recently stage managed Spotlight Repertory Theatre’s production of Next to Normal! Favorite Performance Credits: Newsies (Spotlight Repertory), Footloose (Surflight), The Producers (Woodstock Playhouse), Chicago (Forestburgh Playhouse), Smokey Joe’s Cafe (Weathervane Theatre). Meggan has also performed as a backup vocalist for Liz Callaway in Lincoln Center and Deke Sharon in Carnegie Hall. Graduate of Pace University, BFA. Ireland (she/her) is excited to be making her Spotlight Theatre debut! She recently made her Off-Broadway debut in the new musical Brighter Than The Sun. Other credits include Godspell (George), Collective Rage: A Play in 5 Betties (Betty 4), Seussical (Cat In The Hat), Firebringer (Chorn). You may have also seen her this past October scaring the pants off people at Blood Manor. BFA Musical Theatre, Nazareth University. Kristi (she/her) is thrilled to make her Spotlight Theater Company debut. She is in her 9th season as a Touring Company member and Teaching Artist with IlluminArt Productions. She has a BFA in Acting from Wayne State University in Detroit. When not performing at schools around Staten Island, Kristi teaches musical theater, dance, mural making and choreographs main stage musicals with and for young audiences with IlluminArt Productions. She directed her first show “Tortoise vs. Hare 2: This Time it’s Personal” this past summer, choreographed “Seussical”, and most recently choreographed “Pinkalicious” all with IlluminArt. Kristi enjoys the community theater scene here on Staten Island and was most recently featured as Penelope Pennywise in “Urinetown” and Ma Joad in “The Grapes of Wrath”, both with Ghostlight Players. She’d like to thank her family for all of their love and support.

Randy Topper (Alan) - Randy is thrilled to be stretching outside his comfort zone in the role of Alan, a man who has been married to his wife Arlene for 25 years. IRL (as the kids say) he has only been married to his wife Kristi (who is playing the role of Arlene) for 24 years and 8 months. Much like his dad van, Randy was imported from Detroit where he earned a degree in theatre performance from Wayne State University. After moving to New York in 2001, Randy toured with such companies as Dandelion Productions, National Theatre for Children and Theatreworks USA. He also spent a year in residence at Florida Studio Theatre in Sarasota. Upon returning to New York, Randy co-founded IlluminArt Productions in Staten Island, serving as artistic director for 9 years. Having then earned his MSW, Randy now works during the school year as a social worker at PS 59 and spends his summers at Camp Ramah in the Berkshires. Randy is grateful to be back on stage with his Spotlight family having previously performed with them in School of Rock (Ned Shneebly), The Secret Garden (Ben) Nutcracker (The King/Father) and Oliver! (Mr. Bumble). Other credits include Hairspray (Edna), Joseph…Dreamcoat (Pharaoh) and Blood Brothers (Darrin Wayne). His favorite role continues to be that of partner to Kristi and Daddy to Eden and Shana.

Micaela O'Rourke (She/Her) is a performer currently attending Wagner College for Theatre Performance. Past performance credits include Big Fish (Josephine Bloom), Carrie (Sue Snell), and Cafe Americano (San Francisco). Micaela is also a passionate director, having directed Spring Awakening at Wagner College earlier this year! She is so excited to have the opportunity to perform with Spotlight, and she hopes you enjoy the show! Micaela is a featured performer as well as part of the ensemble cast.

Olivia Jane is excited to make her Spotlight Theatre Debut. She graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a BA in performing arts. You can watch her in the horror movie, “Rerouting” on Amazon Prime or Tubi, and can see her in the TTT Then and Now Cabaret on June 14th at 286 South.
