Durwin Walker (Reginald Potter)Dr. Durwin Walker, MD is a family practice physician in Livingston Parish. An avid supporter of the LPCC, Durwin has performed under the direction of Dinah Toups in productions going back to 2008. Most recently, Durwin was cast as Mertonsire, the Lord of Mis-Rule and General Attache to the King in "Surely You Joust", and most recently as the lovable rogue bank robber in "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the 60's". He is looking forward to playing the role of Reggie in Spotlight's first murder mystery.
Amanda Seals (Daphne Potter)Amanda is thrilled to make her Spotlight Theater debut in this season's murder mystery dinner production. A life-long music lover and performer, Amanda spends her days leading a corporate compensation team and her evenings singing, playing guitar, or learning piano with her family. This is her first role in a dinner theater show, and she is excited to bring her love of story telling and performance to the stage as Daphne Lee Potter.
Josh Seals (Dandy)Josh is making his Spotlight Theater debut, bringing his natural charisma and love of music to the stage. By day, Josh is a finance professional crunching numbers and building spreadsheets; by night, he's a music enthusiast, playing guitar and singing with his wife and daughters. He is excited to join the talented cast as Dandy and promises an unforgettable performance full of fun, energy, and a few surprises.
Lyn McElroy (Felicity Crump)Lyn is so grateful to have an opportunity to participate in her first show with Spotlight Theater Players! Her recent credits include "Godspell", "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", and "Singin' in the Rain" with CCT Baton Rouge. She wants to thank her daughter, husband, parents and all of her family for their never ending support.
Terrilee Walker (Kelly Boggs)This is Terrilee's 10th show to be directed by Dinah Toups. Over the last decade she has played lead roles in many of the LPCC Dinner Theatre Fundraisers- most recently, "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the 60's". She is excited to make her debut performance as detective Kelly Boggs in Spotlight's first murder mystery production. By day Terrilee is an Equine/Canine Sportsmassage Therapist. Although she loves acting, her true passion is the health and well-being of animals. She is also a proud mother of two.
Johnny Santiago (Basil Benchley)Johnny is excited to make his Spotlight Theater debut. Originally from Hawaii, he's been acting since age 16 with memorable stage roles including Charlie in "Charlie and Algernon", and Bob Cratchit in TBR's "A Christmas Carol". In 1992 he earned a Theology degree and founded The Hope Drama Corps. Johnny has worked in 80+ film productions as an actor, stunt man, and body double for stars including Jim Belushi (Thunderstruck), Edward James Olmos (2 Guns), and John Tui (Battleship). He also appeared in the remake of "The Magnificent Seven" starring Denzel Washington.
Lee Rider (Harry Dinker)Lee is thrilled to return to the Spotlight Theater Players stage. Some of his favorite past roles include the Scarecrow in "The Wizard of Oz", Algernon in "The Importance of Being Earnest", and John the Baptist/Judas in "Godspell", and as Christopher Wren in "The Mousetrap". Most recently, Lee appeared in Spotlight's performance of "Elvis Has Left the Building", and "Peril on the Mighty Mississippi". When not performing, Lee serves as Worship Pastor at Zoar Baptist Church in Central.
Robert Reynolds (Clue Master)Robert is a local independent financial advisor who enjoys helping families prepare for retirement while also pursuing his passion for the performing arts. He is the founder and drummer of The King Creole Orchestra, which performs nation wide in theaters, casinos and at private events. In 2011 Robert and his wife Charlotte founded Spotlight Theater Players to bring community theater to Livingston Parish. Since then he has acted, directed, built sets, fundraised, and supported STP in countless ways. His vision is for a permanent venue offering quality productions and opportunities for Livingston Parish's drama students, and a stage for musical and theatrical performances from across the region.
Helene Wall (Prudence Featherstone Smythe)Helene is President of Spotlight Theater Players and has been involved with the group since 2018. She has appeared in "Steal Magnolias", "Sweet Delilah Swim Club", and most recently, "Elvis Has Left the Building". She loves being on stage and is especially excited for Spotlight's very first murder mystery production. Off stage, Helene is a business consultant working with business owners throughout Louisiana and across the Gulf Coast. She is happily married with wonderful children, step children, and grandchildren, and enjoys music, art, and of course, theater.
Dinah Toups (Director)Dinah is a professional director and playwright. Her play, "Totally RED!", has been produced worldwide since 2006. In 1998, she founded The Denham Springs Area Community Theatre (DSACT), and has directed over a dozen plays, most of which she wrote specifically for the LPCC Dinner Theatre Fundraisers. Dinah now lives in Rochester, MN, where her husband is a physician at The Mayo Clinic. She is excited to direct in Denham Springs once more as part of Spotlight Theaters first ever murder mystery. Dinah is the mother of 3 and the grandmother of 2 beautiful granddaughters.
