“Camps for Cause” Baseball and Softball Clinics to benefit The Amazin’ Mets Foundation.

Do you want to enhance your hitting and fielding skills?  Camps for Cause is a 1 hour hitting and 1 hour fielding instructional clinic to support the Amazin’ Mets Foundation.  The clinic sessions will be held on Sunday December 11, 2022 and Sunday December 18, 2022 at The Sports Yard Training Facility.  There will be two 2 hour sessions held each day at 10:00 am and 12:30 pm. The 10:00 am sessions will be for athletes ages 6 to 10 years old, and the 12:30 pm sessions will be for athletes 11 to 15 years old.  Sessions will be limited to 25 athletes per session on a first come first serve basis.  Bats, helmets, and fielding gloves are required.  The Sports Yard has limited equipment available if needed.  Sneakers or turf shoes recommended.  No metal cleats allowed in the facility.

The featured coach of our clinics is the owner of The Sports Yard, Dan Almonte.  Dan is an alumni of Long Beach State University’s Division 1 program.  He played professional baseball for the St.Paul Saints.  Dan played in the Cape Cod College Summer Baseball League from 1992-1995.  He is an ESM Graduate and was inducted into the ESM Athletic Hall of Fame in 2021.  Dan is currently the head coach of the ESM Varsity Softball Team.  The clinic will also feature staff from The Sports Yard and players from the ESM Baseball Team.

All proceeds from this event will go to the Amazin’ Mets Foundation.  The Amazin’ Mets Foundation is committed to providing needed services and opportunities to children, families, and under-served groups in our neighborhoods and communities.  Together we can inspire change and make a lasting impact on and off the field.
