The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee Cast

Parker is a junior at Sparta High School this year! This is his 7th show with Sparta Spotlight Players! Past credits include: “Shrek the Musical” (Papa Bear/Ensemble), “The Addams Family” (Mal Beineke), “Little Shop of Horrors” (Ensemble/Audrey II puppeteer), “Newsies” (Jack Kelly), “Rock of Ages” (Dennis Dupree), and “Grease” (Danny Zuko). Parker is a dance captain for Upstage Adrenaline show choir, and is also a part of Chamber Choir and Vocal Jazz. He also was awarded Outstanding Supporting Role as Dennis Dupree in “Rock of Ages” at the Jerry Awards!! He would like to thank his friends and family for being so supportive throughout this process and always being there for him! And a big thank you to his directors for being so supportive throughout his journey in music and theater! He hopes everyone enjoys the show!!

Eddie is a junior at Sparta High School, this will be his 5th production with the Sparta Spotlight Players. He was in the musicals: “The Addams Family” (Pugsley Addams), “Newsies” (Crutchie), “Rock of Ages” (Stacee Jaxx), and Grease (Kenickie). Eddie is also in Sparta High School’s Vocal Jazz, Upstage Adrenaline as the tenor section leader, and chamber choir. Eddie would like to thank all the directors for helping him grow as an actor and singer.

Noella is a sophomore at Sparta High School this year! This is her 1st show with Sparta Spotlight Players! Noella is a member of both Upstage Adrenaline and Rise Of Adrenaline show choirs. She is also a part of Chamber Choir and Treble Choir. She would like to thank her family, friends, and directors for all of their support and encouragement! She's excited for everyone to see the show and grow with the characters as they spell! She is proud of her fellow cast members and crew for working hard and bringing the show together! Good luck!

Patrick is a sophomore this year at Sparta High. This is his fifth production with the Sparta Spotlight Players. Past shows include: “Little Shop of Horrors” (crew), “Newsies” (Mush/Mayor), “Rock of Ages” (Ja Keith Gill/Father/Mayor), and in ”Grease” (Johnny Casino). Over the summer, he was fortunate enough to be selected as a trumpet understudy for the Kids From Wisconsin and is returning for his second year as an understudy. He is in chamber choir, jazz band/combo, symphonic band, the Backstage Beats show band, and the bass section leader for Upstage Adrenaline. Patrick is excited to spell with everyone this show and wishes everyone the best. Break a leg!

Garrick is a sophomore at SHS this year, and this is the end of his 2nd year with Sparta Spotlight Players. Spelling Bee is his 4th production, with previous shows being “Newsies” (Finch), “Rock of Ages” (Joey Primo), and “Grease” (Sonny). Garrick is involved in many things in the Music Department at SHS, including Show Choir, Jazz Band, Jazz Combo, and Vocal Jazz. He’d like to personally thank his directors for the opportunities this show has given him, as well as his friends and family for all their loving support! Garrick has never been more excited for a show as he is for “Spelling Bee,” and he can’t wait for opening night!

Hayden is a freshman at Sparta High, this is her second high school production; she was a part of our last musical “Grease” and now the “25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee!” She is also a part of both show choir groups Rise of Adrenaline and Upstage Adrenaline. She has fallen in love with participating in musicals and show choir, and hopes to continue to participate in these over the next few years. She would like to thank her family, friends, and directors for all of their support and love throughout the musical production process. She hopes you love and enjoy the show as much as she does!!!

Mady is a sophomore at Sparta High School this year. This is going to be her 5th show with the Sparta Spotlight Players! Some of her past credits include: “Little Shop of Horrors” (crew), “Newsies” (Bowery Beauty/nun), “Rock of Ages” (Waitress #3), and "Grease" (Sandy Dumbrowski). She is also involved in Vocal Jazz, and both show choir groups: Upstage Adrenaline and Rise of Adrenaline. She would like to thank all of her best friends, and especially her parents and directors for always pushing her to reach her full potential. She can’t wait for everyone to see the show!!!

Skylah is a junior at Sparta High School. This is her fourth production with Sparta Spotlight Players. Skylah’s credits include: Newsies (Medda), Rock of Ages (Justice), and Grease (Rizzo). She is so excited to perform in this show with her co-actors!! Skylah has been having such a great time rehearsing and is ready to show off all the hard work that’s been put into this show!! Skylah would like to thank all her friends and family for their support and hope that everyone enjoys the show!!

Emaly Sutherland, a sophomore at Sparta High School, is thrilled to be part of her fourth musical production with the Sparta Spotlight Players. Having previously contributed as crew for 'Newsies' and 'Rock of Ages,' as well as performing in the ensemble for 'Grease,' she is especially excited to take on her first lead role as Marcy Park! In addition to her work in theater, Emaly is an active member of the Treble Choir and participates in both Rise of Adrenaline and Upstage Adrenaline show choirs. She would like to thank her friends and family for their support and encouragement.
