Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic Cast

Ellie is a junior at South High and this is her second production in the theater department! She previously played a reporter in Chicago and is excited to be apart of yet another production. She is delighted to play Hannah in Puffs this year and looks forward to another year with the South High Drama department.

Laura is a Junior at South high school and she is very excited to be in puffs. This is her second production at South high with Chicago The Musical being her first where she played Judge and danced in a few numbers. She loves working with everyone in drama and tries her best to not only have fun but also help people when they need it. She is in Drama Club and on the Improv team. She’s very excited to see how this play will turn out and hopes to be a part of more productions in the future.

Alex is a senior at South High and he is excited to be in his fourth production. He previously played Patrick Star in the SpongeBob Musical, the Foreman in 12 Angry Jurors, and had the honor to play Billy Flynn in Chicago! He partakes in Drama club and the Improv club.This is Alex’s first time working as a prop master. He is very thankful to be able to work alongside some awesome people backstage.

Liz is a senior at South high and this is her fourth production at South High Drama you may previously know her from her breakout role as sponge plushie in Spongebob the musical or Mama in Chicago. She is now enthused to be playing Blondo and First Headmaster in our Productions of Puffs! Well with that being said Magic, Magic, something like that !! GO PUFFS!!

Zane is a freshman at South and is so excited for his second high school theater production! Zane’s love of theater started in 4th grade performing with Fantasia Family Theater until 8th grade. He has been in Shrek Jr. twice (Peter Pan, guard, pig), Madagascar (Boat Captain) and Alice in Wonderland (White Rabbit). But, his favorite role has been Mr. Krabs in Spongebob the Musical last year. When he is not acting and singing, Zane loves watching planes, running, biking, and riding every roller coaster at Magic Mountain! He wants to thank Ms. Parsons and all of the upperclassmen for helping him have such a great experience with South High Theater.

Bethany’s excited to stage manage her first show after teching Chicago and 12 Angry Jurors she's excited to tech again after only acting before. If you've seen her before on the stage you may remember Chicago as an ensemble or in the South high choir. But now she's slowly leaving the limelight or background lights and turning to the dark side literally (she's also never seen Star wars and hopes that made sense). She hopes you have a good laugh and she hopes you enjoy all the hard work the cast and crew put into the show.

As a freshman, Puffs is their very first show in theater and they are very excited. They perform an interp speech in speech and debate and that is currently all the acting experience they have! Nevertheless they’re happy to be here and get involved in more activities on campus. When they’re not procrastinating on school work you can find them reading or writing. They were the quarterback of the Girls Football Team and plan on joining track next semester. All in all, they’re excited to be a part of the theater community!

Wow! What a jump! This junior has played minor roles in Spongebob and Chicago, and is excited to show the stage what he's got! For Wayne's role, she has plenty of experience being loud and playful for the past 16 years. Margaret owes her acting career being present at all to his peers, who have cultivated a professional yet comfortable atmosphere, making her absolutely love theater as an art.

Currently a freshman at South, Aika is overjoyed to be apart of yet another theater production! Although she’s a new face, some of you may remember her from last fall’s Chicago as ensemble, or from Improv and Show Choir!! When she (rarely) has freetime, you could spot her writing or reading stories, or yapping away to her friends. Thank you to everyone who’s supported her random british accents and her overdramatic antics so far. We’re wizards!! And we are so excited to perform Puffs for you guys!!

Tori is a sophomore at South and is so excited to perform in yet another SHS Drama Dept. production! While her resume is packed with musicals, this is only her second play. You might have recognized her from SHS’s previous production of Chicago where she played Mary Sunshine! She is also the Drama Club treasurer and Show Choir member<3 In her free time, she loves to listen to show tunes, watch Full House, and sleep whenever she has time(which is never). Thanks to the entire cast and crew, and to everyone who came to see Puffs, whether you’re a Harry Potter fan or not, we couldn’t have done it without you!!

Angie is in her last year at South High School. Angie is really excited to be a part of the show, Puffs, but it will be her last show at South so emotions are running high. Angie could be recognized in her roles as Colonel Mustard in Clue, her very first show at South. Angie, herself saw the improvements over the course of her four years in South Theater and will remember all the good memories she had from it. Angie had played Rudolpho in the Musical, Matilda, Patchy the Pirate/Johnny The Bartender in Spongebob The Musical, Juror #10 in 12 Angry Jurors, and a dancer in the musical Chicago. Angie wants to thank everyone in her theater for always keeping up with her and letting her know she’s not the only weird theater kid at South. She will look back to these days with a smile on her face so she thanks the audience for supporting this program. Thanks Dad for your support!

Melissa is currently a senior at South High School. She is very grateful to perform Puffs as her last show at South, as she is a very big Harry Potter fan. You might recognize her from her previous roles including the Motorist and Mr. Green u/s in Clue, Amanda Thripp and Michael Wormwood from Matilda, Plankton from Spongebob the Musical, Juror #3 from 12 Angry Jurors, and Juror #1 in Chicago. Melissa would like to thank the entire cast and crew of both Puffs and all her previous shows for making her years in SHS Drama so amazing and to thank the audience for coming to support the program and hope you enjoy the show.

Steven is a junior at South High School. Steven is very determined to do his best in the Puffs Performance as this is his first show after all. However just because this is his first show does not mean he is entirely unfamiliar with being behind the scenes of a production. Steven has been in video production multiple times during his high school career. During such time he has produced small recreations of scenes from movies such as 12 Angry Jurors, Knives out, and Scott Pilgrim vs. the world. During these productions Steven was able to develop his communication skills and his time management skills. Steven would like to thank all those who came to watch the show and to wish his senior coworkers well in the coming years.

Eva'lynn is very enthusiastic about being apart of puffs. While once being a part of Chicago and it's ensemble, she is happy to be brought back for puffs. Theater provides her a nice place to spend her after school time wisely and not only that, but also as a place to be more herself. She wants to thank her bestie of four years for supporting her and her new friend from “Chicago”, Amerlyn. She wishes you to continue supporting and seeing each theater production and everyone involved continues to come out bigger and better than the last.

As a freshman at South, Grace is SO EXCITED for Puffs to be her first spring play! She had a huge Potterhead obsession throughout middle school and had so much fun revisiting this magical world on the stage. You might have seen her in Chicago’s ensemble or in Improv’s Thursday lunch matches, OR in South’s Show Choir. She hopes you'll have fun and a good laugh watching Puffs!

Syd is a junior at South, and super excited to run the lighting for Puffs! Previously, she’s been Sound and the tap teacher for Chicago, Asm for Matilda and Wadsworth in Clue! She also stage manages the musicals over at Calle Mayor, and builds sets at South Bay Studios. For this show, the techs each had to sell their most prized possessions to a traveling salesman in order to get enough supplies to build this set, so you better appreciate it or else you’ll have to explain to the dog that I sold that he was traded for nothing. Enjoy the show!

This is his first ever theater show. (yippee!) You might recognize him from the improv Murder Mystery. Currently a freshman at SHS, and in the Period 5 theater class. Also in Jazz Band and Marching Band, and desperately hoping you enjoy the show!

Mei is a sophomore at South High and this this her second SHS drama production and first play! Making her debut in the fall show Chicago as Mona, she is more than delighted to play Megan jones in this fall show. Mei has always been a huge nerd for anything and everything magical, and has always loved the magical world of Harry Potter. Mei is thankful to Ms.Parsons for the opportunity to play such a huge role in this production and to her family for again supporting her through her theater journey.

Sarah is a sophomore and this is her second show at South High! She is very excited to be playing in this show after being June in Chicago. She is so grateful to be in this show, surrounded by all these caring and supportive people. She’d like to thank her dad for always being behind her, and her mom for always being there throughout the rehearsal process.

Richard is honored to share his final highschool theater show with Mrs. Parson’s and the rest of the Puff’s crew. He is currently in 12th grade and although not a part of the theater class, is more than willing to dedicate as much time as possible to the show! Aside from Puffs, he has taken part in Chicago The Musical, and High School Musical… so this is his first play! He also is a part of South High’s track and field team and show choir. You better prepare for some silly shenanigans because this goober is going out with a bang!

Katie Jamison is a sophomore and this is their third production at South. They enjoy being behind the scenes and supporting the incredible actors. Being in theater has made her high school life so much better. Her previous roles have been the stressful experience of being Assistant Stage manager in SpongeBob the Musical and a Spotlight in chicago.

Riley is ecstatic to be a part of this production! She is in her freshman year, and previously played a reporter in Chicago. She is active in the theater community, participating in the 5th period theater class, drama club, and the improv team along with South’s show choir. She is honored to share the stage with such amazing people, and sincerely hopes you enjoy the show!!

Yewon is a senior and this is her sixth and final major high school production at SHS Drama! Since being banished to the tech booth in her sophomore year (which she honestly prefers), she’s worked from the shadows as ASM for Clue, Spotlight for Matilda, Music for Spongebob the Musical, Stage Manager for 12 Angry Jurors, and (Head) Lights for Chicago; now she prepares to take on the horrors of the Sound board. She’s been an active part of this community since her Zoom freshmen days, from sixth period, Drama Club, and improv. She’d like to thank Parsons for fueling her passion for everything theater, her parents for their love and support, and you, the audience, for attending this show. While she is sad that her role in SHS Drama is coming to a close, she’s so excited to end on a high note— and with that, please sit back, relax, and enjoy Puffs!

Jax is so excited to be in their 2nd production with SHS drama. They are so grateful for fellow cast & crew members for the hard work they put in to make this show possible.

Hello, my name is Amerlyn Lee and I´m currently a Junior at South High. I´m delighted to be back in the theater production as Hermione, Coline and Clumsy Longbottom. I made my theater debut during Chicago. If you remember the sassy and rude clerk from Chicago that was me! I´m really happy to be a part of Puffs. I feel like the characters Ms. Parsons gave me suit my personality! There are about two reasons why my roles suit my ego. (In a good way) 1) I can be quit serious with studies like Hermione. 2) I can be super clumsy anywhere and anytime (I mostly tend to trip a lot or bump my leg on a desk or something hehe). Also when it comes to rehearsals I tend to eat a lot when I´m not needed in a scene (which also gives me time to be with my friends) I want to thank my friends Mei, Eva´lynn and Izzy because they give me strength and energy while they joke around. I hope to be in theater when I'm a Senior. Also I hope the people look forward to see Puffs! Please look forward to our hard work!

A senior at SHS, Brianna has been part of SHS Theater for now a total of five shows. Previously ensemble #11 for Chicago, Juror #6 for 12 Angry Jurors, Karen for Spongebob, and Nigel in Matilda, Brianna is sad this will be her last major production at south high school. She is also in the improv team. She is a part of several clubs, including the GSA of which she is the president of. She is proud to be a part of SHS Theater and wants to thank everyone and especially her friends. Brianna is a Ravenclaw, but feels like a Gryffindor…talk about main character wannabe… and plans to study political science in college. Enjoy the show and don’t badger us too much about it :3

Rachael Mahoney is amazed to be in this production of Puffs! She was previously a tech for SpongeBob the musical as Spot. Although it was her first time acting in 12 angry jurors as juror #9, she knew she loved it. She also was in the fall musical Chicago, and played Hunyak as her first time in a musical. She can’t wait to act yet again with these amazing people and hope that you love it just as much as her.

Koi McCray is absolutely ecstatic to be working hair & makeup in Puffs! Koi is currently one of the Improv Managers, part of the drama board, and is a dedicated member of show choir. They’ve previously been mics in Spongebob, hair & makeup in 12 Angry Jurors, and stage managed Chicago. They are so proud of all the work the cast and crew has put into this, and she hopes you enjoy the show!

Ava is so excited to be back with South High Drama for her sixth(??) show this spring. You may know her as Roxie Hart (Chicago), Mrs. Wormwood (Matilda the Musical), or as Pearl (SpongeBob the Musical), and she is so excited to be back behind the scenes as your assistant stage manager. Ava is a junior and has been participating in SHS productions for over 2 years. She would like to thank her friends and this amazing cast for all their hard work. Enjoy!!

Liliana is ELATED to be in another production at South! She is currently a junior and this is her 5th production wow! Previously, she’s been in ensemble (Chicago), Assistant Stage Manager (12 Angry Jurors), Assistant Stage Manager AGAIN (Spongebob the Musical), and Spotlight (Matilda The Musical). She’s overjoyed to continue her life on the stage this year as previously she had strictly teched. She would love to thank everyone for consistently fueling her decision to act as she has grown to love it. She hopes you enjoy Puffs just as much as ____

Kyra Nakamoto is a Junior at South and has been in theater for the past 3 years and has been in now… 6 South High theater productions! You might know her from… Clue: FBI Agent, Matilda the musical: Hortencia, SpongeBob the Musical: Squidward Tentacles, 12 Angry Jurors: Juror #2, Or Chicago the musical: as Ensemble/ Reporter! Kyra is currently in 3 different choirs at south! On the topic of singing, in her free time Kyra is enjoying voice lessons, which she enjoys a lot! Kyra has had lots of fun with all her theater buddies over the course of this production! She wants to thank all who are here to support her in today's production! Fun fact: Kyra is actually a hufflepuff herself! Badgers! Enjoy the show friends!!

Chris is a junior at South and he is very excited to be back for his second production and this time he will be working on spots. His very first show (Chicago 2023) was an immense experience for him, getting to meet new friends, working as prop master, and gaining work knowledge were the best highlights of junior year. He can’t wait to work again with previous & new cast and crew members and overall create another fantastic show for the audiences. Enjoy the show :)

A junior at South, Emory is thrilled to be back for her 6th show! Previous productions include Chicago, 12 Angry Jurors, and Spongebob the Musical. This is her first time as a tech and she is very excited to learn more about what happens behind the scenes of putting on a production. Outside of theater, Emory enjoys various extracurriculars including figure skating, crocheting, and being captain of Show Choir. On the topic of choir, she is heavily involved in Spartan Choir and Southland Singers Choir as well. Thanks for coming and enjoy the show!!

Adanma is a sophomore and this is her fourth production at South. You might have seen her working behind the curtain in other shows at South as the Props Manager in Spongebob the Musical and Assistant Stage Manager in Chicago. She's really excited for you to see the show, the many hours of work the cast and crew put into it, and hopes you enjoy the show!

Hana is currently a senior, and this is her 5th and final show at South High! She is thrilled to be reviving the title of "little boy" for this show as a certain boy wizard in “Puffs”!! Another little boy, along with a reporter boy fish and non-boys she has played, are Tommy in “Matilda”, Perch Perkins in “SpongeBob”, Juror #5 in “12 Angry Jurors”, and Kitty in “Chicago”! Although Hana is not a gryffindor herself, she hopes to dye her hair the gryffindor house colors for this show (PLEASE HER HAIR HAS BEEN DEPRIVED OF COLOR FOR TOO LONG AND WOULD LIKE TO DYE HER HAIR KETCHUP AND MUSTARD COLORS OR ANY COLOR)! As she leaves the magical world of South High theater, Hana would like to thank everyone for their support from this loving community throughout the years! Now, with all of that said, she hopes you enjoy your transportation to a certain show of magic and magic!

A freshman actor who would just like to thank all the fellow techs, upperclassmen, and especially seniors who will be leaving south with this show! Oh yeah and also THE AMAZING AND SUPER COOL MASTER PARSONS AND TEC DIRECTOR WHO ARE SO COOL AND AWESOME WE LOVE YOU GUYSSS!!!! Who’s this, it's me Griffin. I am very delighted to meet you all and for the opportunity to join the SHS puffs production. I have acted in many shows for many organizations including my most recent, Fantasia Family Music. My most notable role was Shrek in Shrek the musical. I am very excited to get to know you all and have a wonderful time in puffs.

Laurel is currently a junior at South High, and this is her fourth show at South! She is so excited to be returning back to teching for costumes! She was previously a part of the FBI in Clue, designed props for 12 Angry Jurors, ensemble in Chicago, and now is back designing costumes. She is an active member of drama club, having been a member since freshman year. Theater means so much to her and she is so glad she could be a part of these amazing productions. Lann is a senior at South High School and this will be his first show at South. He has previous experience with props and managing the floor from marching/concert band which he has been in since freshman year. During his most recent show he played a large role in putting together and managing the largest prop. He has worked alongside his dad doing general contracting and he’s constantly looking for ways to put his skills to use. He is really excited to take his experience and translate it into a whole new medium by participating in this show!
