Sincerely Yours, Pauli Murray Performers

Kyla Page Williams (Narrator 1 - Young Pauli)
Kyla Page Williams is an accomplished classical singer, voice teacher, and arts administrator. A graduate of the prestigious Westminster Choir College, she possesses a versatile repertoire that spans show tunes, classical music, and choral oratorios. Kyla has captivated audiences with her exquisite vocal range and emotional depth.

She recently performed with the LA Opera Chorus in Ainadamar and previously toured Japan with the Wagner Chorale, further solidifying her reputation as a world-class performer. Her passion for music extends beyond the stage as she dedicates herself to teaching aspiring vocalists, helping them discover their unique voices and unleash their full potential.

In her role as Executive Director of the San Fernando Valley Youth Chorus, Kyla fosters a nurturing environment for young singers, empowering them through the transformative power of choral music. Her unwavering commitment to the arts and education continues to inspire and shape the future of the classical music community.
Denean R. Dyson (Narrator 2 - Older Pauli)
A free-spirited mezzo-soprano genuinely passionate about all things music, Denean R. Dyson is a true artist who, whether singing classical repertoire, R&B, soul, pop or jazz, brings a beautifully skilled and emotionally artistic sound to every performance. A Vegas-born chanteuse, Denean earned a B.A. in music from CSU Fullerton’s School of Music (’10) and immediately launched into a career as a professional vocalist, entertaining audiences in solo and ensemble performances in the US and abroad.

Denean won a Grammy as a member of the professional core of the Pacific Chorale, and is continually featured as a soloist. Her stirring work in the Chorale’s more demanding concert film projects - singing “Precious Lord Take My Hand” in The Wayfaring Project (PBS/YouTube) and “Holding Back the Years” in To the Hands - have garnered significant recognition, with To the Hands premiering at the 2025 Newport Beach & San Pedro Film Festivals, as well as receiving additional recognition across the national and international film festival circuit.

Denean added a hint of jazz and blues soloing on the concert hall stage in Pacific Symphony's Gershwin Rhapsody Celebration in 2023, but enjoys taking to the theatrical stage, having joined the LA Opera chorus in their acclaimed 2022 production of the Pulitzer Prize winning opera Omar, or owning Broadway hits such as Hamilton’s “Satisfied” and Dreamgirls “One Night Only” as part of a Segerstrom Center for the Arts Cabaret Series.

Denean has had an exciting career collaborating with legendary artists like renowned mezzo-soprano Susan Graham, jazz and blues legend Barbara Morrison, singer and actress Reba McEntire, R&B singer Joss Stone as well as incredible composers like Rhiannon Giddens and Jake Heggie. She has performed in ensembles for renown conductors like John Williams, Ludwig Wicki, Carl St. Clair, John Alexander, Robert Istad, Gustavo Dudamel, Kazem Abdullah, Nicholas McGegan, and Keith Lockhart, in venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Hollywood Bowl, Staples Center, Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Salzburg Cathedral, the Sheldonian Theatre and many more.

Denean continues to entertain as the lead vocalist of her group Denean's Soul Foundation at venues and events throughout Southern CA like CSU Fullerton Concert Under the Stars and Disneyland’s Hotels and Parks’ Food and Wine or Celebrate Soulfully Festivities.
