Founded in 2022 by a collective of local artists, Source/Filter Music Collective is dedicated to creating innovative musical projects in Los Angeles that showcase the talents of local musicians and performing artists. Since its founding, Source/Filter has produced concerts featuring seldom-performed works by beloved composers such as Shostakovich, alongside entirely new compositions by Los Angeles-based creators.

Source/Filter’s 2024-25 season redefined immersive opera with Sancta Susanna, transforming the rarely performed work into a chilling, site-specific horror experience and Little Deaths, a sensual journey through opera’s most intimate and electrifying moments at West Hollywood’s iconic Pleasure Chest Store. As a female-led organization, we are committed to reimagining the classical music landscape in Los Angeles, creating performances that are bold, inclusive, and unforgettable.
