Ms. Taylor Gelb has taught at Silver Sands for four years. During her time here, she has taught chorus, keyboard, and most recently theatre! Her choirs have received excellent and superior ratings, with both of her choirs receiving straight superiors at MPA in 2024 and 2025. Under her direction, the Silver Sands Middle School Show Choir was invited to perform at the 2024 Florida ACDA Conference and the 2025 FMEA Conference. Last year, she was the music director for our production of Beauty and the Beast Jr. She is excited to direct Legally Blonde Jr. this year and share her love of musical theatre with the students of Silver Sands Middle School! As a member of the Festival Singers of Florida and the Orlando Sings Symphonic Choir, she continues to hone her craft and learn new rehearsal techniques. Her mission as an educator is inspiring students to become exemplary people through the art of listening, sharing one’s voice, and learning with dedication and an open mind.

Ms. Elise Frevel is the proud mom to Kaelyn and Julia and spends her day as the Media Specialist at South Daytona Elementary. She brings her passion for storytelling, creativity, and organization to the stage as the producer. She is so thankful for Ms. Gelb and Mrs. Goddard allowing her to return as the producer and assist with her second SSMS production. It has been a true joy to collaborate with these talented ladies and she is honored to support such an inspiring group of young performers. Fun fact: When she’s not wrangling books or backstage chaos, she loves drinking coffee and reading books and has a secret dream of being in a musical herself someday! She wants to thank her family for always putting up with her crazy ideas and being there for her without exception.
