Evil Dead The Musical Cast

Jeremy Heisner  (Ash)
Basil Enamorado (Cheryl)
Selina Lopez (Annie)
Experience in said area andbwhat you enjoy about it: Annie’s very dramatic and over the top about everything. I love being overly dramatic and have been this way for majority of my life. So I’d say my life is my experience in said area. What would be your preferred weapon to fight a Deadite and why: the mini chain saw. It’s cute, not heavy, but it’s still a fucking chain saw.
Tiffany Rudell (Shelly)
Experience in said area and what you enjoy about it: I used to do re-enactments as a child at Six Gun City in Tombstone AZ. I also made sure to take Drama in highschool both my Freshman and Sophomore year. I love that I get to do this again and I am so excited to perform live! What would be your preferred weapon to fight a Deadite and why: A Machete… because it sounds badass when you say it and, well, decapitation.
Marvel Vernon (Jake)
Experience in said area and what you enjoy about it: I have been involved in theatre since high school. First finding love in set building in college. I can never forget the feeling of that first applause or laughter each time my character enters the stage in a new production. My first role with SVCT was as Frank N. Further. I love growing alongside actors and especially love that I get to share this with my loved one, soon to be "ones," once my daughter debuts! What would be your preferred weapon to fight a Deadite and why: I'd just isolate myself and live safe and sound with a standard run-of-the-mill acid moat to protect my family Obviously, with a Necronomicon and an Annie, duh!
Simon Spencer (Scott)
This is Simon’s first show with SVCT and his first time doing community theatre since 2016, although he spent several of those in-between years working in immersive entertainment fighting giant squids and being a professional fake spy. Before that, he was in Seussical the Musical three separate times (don’t question his life choices or he’ll do it again), starting as JoJo and ending as the Cat in the Hat. Other past roles include Hank in Marvin’s Room and Lord Farquaad in Shrek the Musical. What would be your preferred weapon to fight a Deadite: “Does a woodchipper count? Is anyone else gonna say this?”
Anna Crossland (Linda)
Experience in said area andbwhat you enjoy about it: I grew up a dancer who said I would never sing in front of people because I was too shy. Well, after 4 years of theatre at Buena, receiving my AA in Theatre and Cinematic Arts from Eastern Arizona College, and continued performing and teaching with a few different community theatres from AZ- IL, HERE I AM! I got hooked and there’s no turning back! I’m super excited to get to be apart of this ABSOLUTELY ridiculous show and very talented cast! > > What would be your preferred weapon to fight a Deadite and why: A BOOMSTICK! The line delivery sold me and you can find them at S-Mart!
Ken Davis (Shemp)
I'm Shemp - a jack of all trades; I play the dark voice that opens the play, professor Knowby, the airport announcer, and Ash’s severed hand. Experience in said area and what you enjoy about it: I enjoy acting because I get to make people smile and laugh. I’ve played a variety of characters in my career, the latest being Oscar in Acting Can Be Murder and Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. What would be your preferred weapon to fight a Deadite and why: a clove of garlic cuz even if the deadite doesn’t die at least they will smell better.
Barry R. Smith (Ed)
Experience in said area and what you enjoy about it: As Ed, I find I am at a loss for words most of the time, but I sure get to work on my facial expressions! I love singing my eventual ballad which tells of my frustration at not being taken seriously. I also love dancing with my Deadite Homies! What would be your preferred weapon to fight a Deadite and why: why, my silver-tongued verbosity, of course! Nothing stops a Deadite colder than a well-phrased passage or verse. ;)
Xavier Young (Deadite/Ash Understudy)
Experience in said area and what you enjoy about it: I have loved acting and being on stage since I was 7! I have performed in numerous main and ensemble stage roles. I have also teched for multiple SVCT shows. My most recent and proudest performance is playing Jesus in Godspell. > > What would be your preferred weapon to fight a Deadite and why: Well if Ash isn’t there to fight them for me, then…… is a flamethrower an option? Because it’s wayyy easier to burn down a cabin in the woods with a flamethrower.
Angele Kunkowski (Deadite/Linda Understudy)
Experience in said area and what you enjoy about it: I absolutely love acting, It has taught me so much about myself and how I show up in the world. It's allowed me to unmask in ways that have been empowering and provided perspective. I've been acting with the theater for a year now, and I'm so happy I made the decision to transition from music to acting. It hasn't always been easy, but I definitely don't quit when something's worth it! What would be your preferred weapon to fight a Deadite and why: katana, because if you know how to use one well it can do amazing things... Well maybe amazing isn't the word....
Ryan Gann-Martin (Deadite/Shemp Understudy)
Experience in said area and what I enjoy about it: I've been in the theatre since Midsummer Night's Dream in 2022. I have acted in Midsummer, She Kills Monsters, the 2022 SVCT Haunted House, and now Evil Dead the Musical. I regularly do murder mysteries in the Gathering Scene, as well. I enjoy the opportunity to become someone else on stage and try new things, such as singing, dancing, playing monsters, and even doing accents occasionally. What would be my preferred weapon to fight a Deadite and why: I would like to have a bladed weapon of some sort, like a sword or axe. Realistically, however, I would use a chainsaw and a double barrelled shotgun. I know, creative, but what do you expect from a person who has been a fan of Bruce Campbell and Evil dead for about 20 years?
Aiden Swallow (Deadite/Ed Understudy)
Experience in said area and what you enjoy about it: The only other musical I have been in is Godspell, which was also my theatre debut. I have been doing extensive singing and dancing practice in preparation for this show. I still have a long way to go, but I am coming along quickly. I love musical theatre; the dancing, singing, and acting all at the same time is a thrill unlike any other. What would be your preferred weapon to fight a Deadite and why: A scimitar of course!! Not for the practical reason, though. Pragmatically using a scimitar would be dangerous due to needing to get up close; however, a scimitar allows you to kill in style!!! Fashion and style take sacrifice, as I like to say.
Jordon Schaaf (Deadite/Jake Understudy)
Experience in said area and what you enjoy about it: I have a lot of experience with ensemble roles and I have say this is probably my favorite so far, just being able to as crazy as we want is a lot of fun What would be your preferred weapon to fight a Deadite and why: A canon, can't come back if you're a puddle
Tanner Blankenship (Deadite/Scott Understudy)
Experience in said area and what you enjoy about it: I've had several roles over the course of nearly a decade and nearly 3 decades since I wanted to be dead, so really, this is a dream come true! But for real, being part of this show is so awesome! What would be your preferred weapon to fight a Deadite and why: I'd prefer a Flamethrower; if nothing else, at least we can make the demons feel at home!
Gael Smejkal (Deadite/Cheryl Understudy)
Experience in said area andbwhat you enjoy about it: I've never been a Deadite before as I'm very much alive, but being part of the army of darkness is pretty fun. We've got sweet dance moves, killer songs. And I must say out of everyone I've bitten, Charmaine, Angel, Scott's is definitely the softest tissue. What would be your preferred weapon to fight a Deadite and why: Woodchipper. It's fast, efficient, and gives back to the earth by creating nutrient rich, (albeit evil) mulch.
Andrea Allen (Deadite/Annie + Shelley Understudy)
Experience in said area and what you enjoy about it: Acting in local Bisbee theatre since a kid, high school plays, teen acting camp at Pepperdine University in Malibu, helped with a few plays here, and been in a few plays here. What would be your preferred weapon to fight a Deadite and why: Treadmills lining my house.
