About Murder Me Always - Dinner Theatre
A painfully bad amateur murder mystery takes a deadly turn when the director is shot—for real. The fake whodunit collapses, and a real murder mystery takes its place. Luckily (or not), hard-boiled detective Joe Mamet, a pulp-novel gumshoe straight out of Raymond Chandler, is in the audience on a stakeout. As he investigates, suspicion falls on a cast of egos, secrets, and very questionable acting. Is the killer hiding among these performers? Is art imitating life a little too closely? And can this real mystery be better than the play that started it all? Fast, funny, and sharply self-aware, Murder Me Always skewers bad theater, classic noir, and the idea that the show must go on—no matter what.
