Water By The Spoonful Cast

Anadina Saladino is a Latina actor, director, and playwright. Her acting work includes “Madame Brassilhov”, “Mistress”, and "Girl” in Simon’s The Good Doctor, “Carla” in Jamiel’s Hail Mary!, “Inez” in Sartre's No Exit, “Mommy” in Hollenbeck’s The Fox and The Grapes, “Maurya” in Millington Synge’s Riders to the Sea, Silvia in Shakespeare’s The Two Gentlemen Of Verona, and “Jory” in Ayad Akhtar’s Disgraced. Some of her older work includes “Helena de Troya” in Euripides’ Las Troyanas, and “Chorus” in Medea, both produced in the Dominican Republic. Anadina Saladino would like to take this opportunity to thank Director Craig Stoebling for his guidance and for trusting her with such an incredible role. She would also like to thank the cast, crew, and her family for their unwavering support.

Christian Martinez is pleased to return to SVPT. Christian is honored to work with such an amazing cast and crew, as they have helped push him as a performer. His recent works include Ray in the right direction, Will in Will, the Strong Man in the Strong and Fragile Man, Joe Stoddard in Our Town, Orestes in Electra, Bartley in Riders to the Sea, etc. Christian would like to thank his family and friends, as they give him the inspiration to keep pushing forward with all his hopes and dreams. You can catch Christian directing children’s plays, in schools, throughout Staten Island.

Caroline Russell is a local animal lover and all-around arts my enthusiast. She’s happy to be returning to the Sea View stage for her fourth show since 2022’s production of Twelve Angry Men (Juror #8). Of those four shows, Water by the Spoonful is the second directed by Craig Stoebling after Stop Kiss (Callie), a story that burrowed itself deep into Caroline’s heart. This one has surely joined it there. Other roles include Rosalind in As You Like It, Varya in The Cherry Orchard, Elizabeth Proctor in The Crucible, and #00 in The Wolves. This performance is dedicated to Abuela & Tití — and most of all, to Mami Lily, who’d gently assure me whenever I got hurt: “Sana, sana, colita de rana; si no sana hoy, sanará mañana.”

Born and raised in New York, Gregory Taylor is an accomplished actor and director. Starting his career with the Unity Cultural Workshop in Staten Island, Gregory played leading roles in such productions as "The River Niger", "A Raisin In The Sun", "Every Night When The Sun Goes Down", "A Soldier's Play" and "Godspell". He has also played leading roles in national tours of "Spell # 7", "A Soldier's Play" and "Purlie". Gregory has also directed a number of plays and readings for N.Y. audiences and local cable T.V. including "Topdog/Underdog", "Defiance", "Radio Golf", “Intimate Apparel” and most recently "The Call". Most recently Gregory has had starring roles in “Sweat” and “Lysistratas” for Ghostlight Productions. “This is my second time performing at the Sea View Playwright’s Theatre, having last been seen here as Lt. John Stokes in "American Son". I’m very excited to be playing in this powerful production with such a great cast and working with Craig Stoebling for the second time.”

Yodelle Tan is an AEA, Filipina actor and singer. Originally from Baltimore, MD, she is a graduate of the Neighborhood Playhouse and is currently based in Brooklyn, NY. She is thrilled to be a part of this fantastic cast! Her most recent credits include Taran in Breeders, the Scientist in (Extra) Terrestrial, and Tolstov in The Monotonist. She hopes to make others feel less lonely through her work. Special thanks to her family and friends who have always supported her and her partner who continues to inspire her!

Ken Tirado has an association with Sea View since its premiere season in 1979. Most recently, Ken’s work behind the scenes is better known. As a Director and Set Designer, The Boys in the Band, which he co-directed with Gabrielle Canci, is his most recent project, along with last season's Tally’s Folly. He is very happy to be working again with Craig Stoebling, who directed him a few years back in The Normal Heart.

Justin is thrilled to be back working at Sea View Playwright's Theatre again with Craig Stoebling, after previously working with Craig as Assistant Director for American Son. Previous production credits include Assistant Director for Curse of the Starving Class (SIST). Acting credits include Philly Cullen in Playboy of the Western World, Willard in Footloose, Hennessy in Biloxi Blues.
