Lakeetha Nichelle (Kendra Ellis-Connor)
Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, Lakeetha is an actor and multi-hyphenate artist passionate about storytelling on stage and beyond. She is thrilled to make her debut performance with Sea View Playwright's Theatre and grateful for the creative journey!" Lakeetha Nichelle would like to dedicate her performances to Ahmaud Arberry, Tamir Rice, Mike Brown, George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Daunte Wright, Sandra Bland, Emmett Till, and all the young men and women whose lives have been cut short. May their memories live on and help lead our nation to a better future where there is Freedom and Justice for All.
John Griffin (Scott Connor)
John is happy to return to SVPT, having last appeared here as Robert in "Betrayal". Past favorite roles here include Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha, Sweeney in Sweeney Todd:The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew. More recently, he played Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof for Phoenix Productions, and Guido in Nine for Playhouse 22, the latter of which garnered him a New Jersey Broadway World Award nomination for Best Performer in a Musical. He has been a featured vocalist for both the Richmond County Orchestra and the Staten Island Philharmonic, and appeared at 54 Below in Broadway Loves Cast Albums. Many thanks to Craig for the opportunity, and to Lakeetha, John, Gregory, Justin, Mike, and Gary for their hard work and dedication to this production. By day, John is a RN/Nurse Manager in NYC. John Hannan (Officer Paul Larkin)
John is thrilled to be here for his second performance with Sea View Playwright’s Theatre! Most recently seen here at Sea View as John Proctor in “The Crucible,” John has also performed with the Staten Island Shakespearean Theatre Company, The Little Victory Theatre, Staten Island Academy, Triple Threat Theatre, and Cornell University’s Cog Dog Theatre Troupe. He has also performed in stage combat shows with the Cornell University chapter of Ring of Steel. John would like to thank his friends and family for their continued support of his passion for theatre.
Gregory Taylor (Lieutenant John Stokes)
Born and raised in New York, Gregory Taylor is an accomplished actor and director. Starting his career with the Unity Cultural Workshop in Staten Island, Gregory played leading roles in such productions as "The River Niger", "A Raisin In The Sun", "Every Night When The Sun Goes Down", "A Soldier's Play" and "Godspell". He has also played leading roles in national tours of "Spell # 7", "A Soldier's Play" and "Purlie". Gregory has also directed a number of plays and readings for N.Y. audiences and local cable T.V. including "Topdog/Underdog", "Defiance", "Radio Golf", “Intimate Apparel” and most recently "The Call". Most recently, Gregory has had starring roles in “Sweat” and “Lysistratas” for Ghostlight Players. “This is my first time performing at the Seaview Playwright’s Theatre and I’m very excited to be playing in this powerful production with such a great cast and director!”
