About PRINCE HAL

Scrap Paper Shakespeare’s PRINCE HAL uses the text of Richard II, 1 Henry IV, 2 Henry IV & Henry V to tell the story of Shakespeare’s degenerate-prince-turned-conquering-king in one epic evening. This fast-paced adaptation gives audiences the rare opportunity to see the arc of Shakespeare’s Henriad tetralogy in one sitting. Come have a drink with Falstaff, Mistress Quickly and the rest of the Eastcheape crew; watch as Prince Hal takes on Hotspur at the battle of Shrewsbury, navigates a tumultuous relationship with his father and ultimately conquers France at Agincourt. In this unique touring production, Scrap Paper Shakespeare puts you at the center of the action: as you enjoy a beer from our partner venues, our talented cast of 7 will transport you to 14th century England and France. So grab a ticket and, in the words of the Prologue of Henry V, “let us upon your imaginary forces work.”

PRINCE HAL is adapted & directed by Emma Szuba. It is produced by John Forlines III with generous support from the Forlines Family Theatre Studies Fund.

PRINCE HAL runs 3 hours with one intermission. This show includes stage violence, drinking and some sexual innuendo. We recommend this show for ages 12 and up.
