The New York Opera Alliance (NYOA) is a dynamic consortium of opera companies and producers dedicated to elevating the visibility and impact of opera in New York City. Since our founding in 2011, we have grown from 13 initial members to nearly 50, reflecting the vibrant and expanding opera community within the city. Partnering with OPERA America since 2013 has further empowered us to fulfill our mission. We firmly believe that both native New Yorker's and visitors deserve a deeper appreciation of the richness, diversity, and vitality of our city’s opera scene. As a community-driven organization, we are committed to raising awareness about our members, fostering collaboration, and generating revenue for innovative projects. 

**What We Do** 

Our monthly meetings provide a platform for insightful presentations on vital topics for opera producers and artists, combined with engaging discussions on the challenges and opportunities within the operatic and cultural landscape. Additionally, we maintain an easily accessible website with an online events calendar and distribute a monthly e-newsletter featuring exciting events from our member companies. Our highlight each spring is the New York Opera Fest, an inclusive celebration that showcases the exceptional talent and creativity of all our participant organizations, significantly enhancing the profile of opera in NYC.
