Matilda's school life isn't completely smooth sailing, however – the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don't abide by her rules. San Leandro Performing Arts Center

The San Leandro Performing Arts Center, part of the San Leandro Unified School District, was built in 2011.  It is a 544 seat, state of the art theatre and often referred to as San Leandro’s “secret jewel box” for performances.  The center is located on the San Leandro High School Campus.
