Director
Alison Kurtzman
is ecstatic for her directorial debut with Royal Star Theatre! Alison also serves on RST's board as Communications and Marketing Director and has assistant directed many shows across Queens, including She Loves Me, Spamalot, Seussical, Noises Off!, and Newsies. When not at rehearsal, Alison works as a Communications Manager for Kaplan and spends time with her very opinionated roommate...who also just happens to be a cat. Alison wants to send a special and heartfelt thank you to this amazing cast and team for coming together, giving it everything they have, and bringing so much happiness back to community theater after a tough couple of years.

Production Coordinator
Amanda Doria
is a founding member of RST, and the current Board President. She specializes in trying to keep one more plate in the air than should be possible, to varying effect. She had the absolute best time working on this production (once she finally got the bear of a rehearsal schedule worked out, that is). She is grateful to be Co-PCing with Maryellen once more, and couldn't have possibly done any of this without the support of her patient wife, Dena, and their delightful son, Emerson. In the words of the inimitable Cookie, "SAFE SET."

Company
Royal Star Theatre
Royal Star Theatre has been at Immaculate Conception Church since 2015 when a small group of producers, teachers, directors, and choreographers brought a proposal to the Pastor to start a Theatre Group. The idea was to provide quality theatrical experiences to all people regardless of age, religion, gender, race, culture or financial status. This includes stage performers, production staff and our audience and do this while being financially rewarding to the parish. Since then, RST has performed 8 (now 9) major musical productions, a Christmas show, both a Valentine & a Disney Revue, a Children’s play, Talent shows, several online Showcases and fundraisers. Even during the height of Covid, RST produced an online show compromising of 4 comedy skits using actors and puppets. Since 2015, RST has brought in almost $19,000 to the parish. We want to thank our neighbors, The Mary Louis Academy, for allowing RST to use their auditorium this year for their production of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. We hope that the community continues to support our endeavors working with ICC, so we may nurture the talents of the young and adults and bring quality entertainment to the community at reasonable prices.
