Chris Salem (Master of Ceremonies (Emcee))Chris Salem is honored to be your host on your visit to the Kit Kat Klub today. “Welcome! Bliebe, reste, stay! I hope you will enjoy our version of this masterpiece of a show.” Chris is originally from Michigan and is a proud Chaldean. He is a musician studying Jazz, Classical, and World Music and is often hired as a drummer here in town. Previous stage credits include In The Heights (u/s Usnavi, Ensemble) with Cabrillo Stage, recent winner of 5 awards including Best Musical and Best Ensemble, The SpongeBob Musical (Patchy), Macbeth (Banquo), Grease (Sonny), West Side Story, Twelve Angry Jurors. @cchaldo23
Ana Bogren (Sally Bowles) Ana is SO excited to be returning to Renegade Theater Co after most recently performing in Renegade’s first adult production, Heathers: The Musical as Heather Chandler. Previous community theatre credits include: Evil Dead The Musical (Female Swing), Something Rotten! (Bea Bottom), The Robber Bridegroom (Rosamund U/S), & Mamma Mia! (Ali). Ana would like to thank Simon Hayward for helping bring Sally’s voice to life. And lastly she would like to thank the entire cast, crew, as well as the entire production team, specifically Babe, and Lauren for being such amazing guides through this entire process. Amy Carlson (Fräulein Schneider)Amy Carlson is so happy to be on the stage in her first production with Renegade Theater Co. She was recently seen in A Year With Frog and Toad (as Mother Frog) at Scotts Valley Performing Arts, Something Rotten (as a tap dancing egg, among other things) at Mountain Community Theater, and also in Mountain Community Theater's New Works Weekend, The Robber Bridegroom, and Mamma Mia! She is grateful for the rare opportunity to play a role so meaningful and important to her as this one.
Scott Kravitz (Herr Schultz)Scott is delighted to have the opportunity to play Herr Schultz in Renegade Theater’s Cabaret. Scott has been recently seen in MCT’s production of Evil Dead as Professor Knowby. Other musical roles include The Creature (Young Frankenstein) and Brother Jeremiah (Something Rotten). Scott can also be heard on KBCZ, Boulder Creek (kbcz.org) on Nothing Is Beatleproof on Saturday mornings and Platterpus Descending on Tuesday evenings.

Ian Dyer (Ernst Ludwig)Over the last two and a half years, Ian Dyer has had the pleasure of performing across Santa Cruz County. Ian is delighted to have been a part of "Evil Dead: The Musical," Spike Wong's "White Sky Falling Dragon," "The Odd Couple," "Something Rotten!" and 8Tens@8. Ian has had the good fortune to meet dedicated, talented, and kind actors, directors, writers and production staff in each of these productions, including "Cabaret," and he'd like to offer his sincere thank you to all of these individuals who have become such a wonderful part of his life.

Thea Etchepare (Herman/Max/Rudy)Thea is dipping their toes back into theater, and is super excited to be playing various men in Cabaret! They haven’t acted since high school, but notable roles they performed were Grandma Addams in The Addams Family Musical, Jean Maitland in Stage Door, and Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Thea is super grateful to their friends and family who encouraged them to get back into acting, and Renegade for providing this wonderful opportunity. Enjoy the show!!
Edie Irving (Rosie/Sally Bowles Understudy)Edie Irving is elated to be a part of her first production with Renegade Theatre Co. Some of her previous favorite roles have been Tanya in Mamma Mia, Claire Ganz in Rumors, Harry in A Very Potter Musical and Ronnette in Little Shop of Horrors. She is currently writing her thesis on how theatre can be an encouraging and accepting third place for LGBTQIA+ identities through UC Santa Cruz’s Community Studies Department. She is immensely thankful to the company of this show, her dear friends, family, Isaac, and her eight pet shrimp for their kindness, grace, and support.

Err Shirley (Frenchie)Err Shirley is excited for their Renegade Theater Co. debut as Frenchie! Err is a recent graduate from UCSC with a degree in Theatre Arts and a minor in Music. You may have seen Err as Little Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods, Celia in Iolanthe, Amahl in Amahl and the Night Visitors, and many more! Upcoming, Err will perform as Cherubino In Le nozze di Figaro with UCSC Opera. Special thanks to Mom, Conor, and all their teachers for all the support and love.

Daisy Kopenhefer (Helga/Dance Captain)Daisy is thrilled and honored to be a part of Cabaret. Her love for theater began in middle school, and it's been her passion ever since. Some of her favorite roles include Cosette in Les Misérables, Christine in Phantom of the Opera, and most recently, Marcy Park in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at UCSC. Daisy is deeply grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such a talented cast and crew. Though she’s new to the Renegade Theater family, she already feels right at home. Tamaya Okumura (Ensemble)Tamaya Okumura is a dynamic performer with experience in theater and film. She has played lead and supporting roles in El Rancho de Pasión and Sunny and appeared in productions such as SpongeBob the Musical (Ensemble), Marie Antoinette (Revolutionary 3/Ensemble), Erase (Lilah), and The Circle (La Bruja). She is drawn to the transformative power of theater, and Cabaret resonates with her as a bold exploration of identity, freedom, and resilience through art.
Mitch Truong (Ensemble/Rosie Understudy)Previously seen in “Spongebob the Musical”as a member of the Electric Skates (Cabrillo College, 2024) She is thrilled to be performing as a Kit Kat Klub Girl with Renegade Theater for the first time. She is excited for everyone to see this incredibly entertaining & complex show & hopes the audience takes something important away from it.

Scottie Tsubota (Clifford Bradshaw Understudy)Scottie Tsubota (he/him) is happy to be involved in his second production with Renegade Theater as a performer. You may have seen him in Heathers as Kurt’s dad and Veronica’s dad. He is also involved in Renegade as a staff member, directing their teen production of Guys and Dolls last summer. Scottie would like to thank his family, friends and his wife Kira for their love and support throughout this process.
Mara Frey (Preshow Cabaret Cast)Mara Frey is a Santa Cruz native with a lifelong passion for dance! She started her journey at just 6 years old with tap and ballet, and at 11, she found her groove at Synergy Studios, studying Hip Hop and Street Jazz with Joy Smith. Her love for choreography blossomed while dancing with Harbor High's team, Escapades, where she had a blast creating fun contemporary jazz routines. Over the years, she's choreographed more than 10 musicals, including Renegade's exciting first production, ""Be More Chill."" Her passion for dance continues at Motion Pacific where she continues to grow as a performer & teacher. Now, she's thrilled to dive into her very first musical performance! She is honored to work alongside such a talented cast and be part of a truly meaningful production!

Chloe Mae (Preshow Cabaret Cast)Chloe Mae (she/her) is so excited to be partaking in her first production at Renegade Theater! She has been learning and studying acting since a very young age and all throughout her educational years. Although in her most recent years since graduating highschool, she has been taking acting on in a much more serious sense as she has found it motivates her and is something she finds much passion in. Some of her most recent past work includes Molly in A Home for Christmas, Julie in End of the World, and is currently also in the short play festival being held at the Santa Cruz Actors theater as Dana in Balloon Release.
