Ben Hillard (Reverend Samuel Parris)
Ben's journey in theater began in elementary school at WEST Performing Arts, where through a few shows he discovered the fun of acting. After taking a break, he found his way back to acting during his junior year at Santa Cruz High, searching for a community and realizing it was something he couldn't stay away from. One of his favorite experiences was stepping into the role of Sherlock Holmes, initially as an understudy but then as the lead for a couple of shows. In "The Crucible," Ben found a challenge in portraying Reverend Samuel Parris. The Reverend represents a very specific kind of person who Ben very honestly despises. Portraying this character with the depth needed for such a brutal and topical production had several difficulties and helped push his understanding of acting as a whole. Now a senior, Ben is looking ahead to college, where he plans to study mathematics, but he still hopes to find time to indulge his passion for acting in school productions.
Jay Lokey (Reverend John Hale)
Jay is excited to be in Renegade's second production and is looking forward to many more to come. He has made many friends and learned important techniques through the creation of this production! In his free time, Finn enjoys creating art and cosplaying. He especially loves doing sfx makeup with contact lenses and fake blood. He also loves literature and philosophy, and WILL talk his head off if any is mentioned. Finn is very excited to do more serious acting in the future, and is hoping to act in Shakespeare plays. Finn enjoys any kind of music, but has a sweet spot for folk music and indie rock. He hopes you enjoy the show!
