Men In Shorts Cast
John J. Concado* (Dave)John J. Concado, aka Juanjo, is a native New Yorker & bilingual Argentinian-American with a soft spot for everything Lionel Messi. Though a stage veteran, he is thrilled to be performing in his first solo show and is grateful for the whole artistic team’s support and guidance. Special shoutouts to Emily Johnson, without whom this memorization and sustained sanity (sort of) would have been impossible and Nat “Line King” DeWolf whom you should look up if ever doing your own solo show. He proudly dedicates these performances to his late father Juan Roberto, who first taught him how to play tennis on the cracked city courts of Queens, and to Rodney Rodriguez, who taught him how to love and appreciate the arts. Mamá y Emi, las quiero. Next month, you can catch John in the world premiere of The National Pastime at Syracuse Stage. Recent Theatre: War Words (NY Rep Off-Bway and The Library of Congress); Romeo y Julieta, starring Lupita Nyong’o (The Public Theater); Jesus Hopped the 'A' Train (W.H.A.T); Anna in the Tropics (Barrington Stage). Recent Film: “Paris is in Harlem”; “The Rainbow Experiment”; “42 Seconds of Happiness”; “Argentinian Intervention”. Recent TV: CBS’s “FBI: Most Wanted”; HBO’s “The Deuce”. Many voiceovers, commercials & video games like “Red Dead Redemption 2” & “Dead Space 3.” @concado & JohnConcado.com for ethical stalking.
