Fuddy Meers Cast

Kara Williams (Claire)
Kara is proud to be making her PTD debut. Most recently, she appeared in Marvin’s Room and The Real Thing, both studio productions at Ann Arbor Civic Theatre. Previously, she was a member of the Ann Arbor Civic Improv House Team, The Negative Larry’s; you might still see them pop up here and there. Special thanks to family and friends who always say the right thing: “What do you mean you can’t hang out because of rehearsal, weren’t you just in one of those?”
Sam Spaulding (Richard)
Sam is excited to be a part of his first production at PTD in Fuddy Meers. He is a current student of Theatre and Mathematics at Siena Heights University with hopes of finding professional work either as an actor onstage or a math teacher in a classroom. Some of Sam's favorite roles include Wadsworth in Clue: Onstage and Abner Dillon in 42nd Street. Sam would like to thank his family for their support and God for the chance to make art onstage with a wonderful cast and crew.
Chandler Gimson (Kenny)
Chandler (he/him) is excited to perform for his first PTD show. Chandler started acting in high school, but life took over and he wasn’t able to work on any shows. Recently, now that life has settled, he’s happy to be back on stage. Past Credits: Marvin’s Room, The Music Man, You Can’t Take it With You, and various original 24-hour productions and one act performances.
Jerry Doty (Limping Man)
Jerry was most recently seen on the stage for PTD in last summer's Perfect Arrangement. He would like to thank Gary for trusting him with this role, the cast and everyone involved for helping to make a very fun summer, and his amazing wife Karrie for being herself. Thanks also to everyone reading this who came out to support local community theatre and to his friends and family who put up with him practicing this new way of speaking.
Laura Bird (Gertie)
Laura is delighted to tread the boards with PTD for the third time, having previously played Poppy in The Miss Firecracker Contest and Cookie in Rumors. Laura is more used to designing scenery or directing than acting, but likes to switch things up when the right role rolls around. She thanks Gary for giving her a chance to bring Gertie to life, and thanks Gary and the rest of the company for making this process so much fun! She dedicates this performance to Constance D. Hansen. Connie knows why.
Jacob Williams-Justin (Millet)
Jacob has pulled himself out of his dungeon at home where he plays The Sims to take the stage once again. His recent credits include John Williamson in PTD’s previous show Glengarry Glen Ross, and Patrick in Juice. His non-performing credits include Perfect Arrangement (director), and The Sweet Delilah Swim Club (assistant director). Jacob also wishes to applaud supportive friends and family for keeping him grounded and his hair follicles intact.
Maddie Esselink (Heidi)
After a long hiatus, Maddie is honored to be returning to the stage with her PTD debut in Fuddy Meers. She’d like to thank: her family, for their rebooted enthusiastic support; her roommates, for letting her run lines in their thin-walled house; her cast-mates, for sharing their talent, passion, and expertise; and PTD Productions, for their quality productions and people.
