Harrison Laissen (Lieutenant Frank Cioffi)
Harrison is beyond excited to be playing the role of Lieutenant Frank Cioffi in Proscenium's production of Curtains! He is currently a sophomore at John Jay, and this is his fourth show with Proscenium. His previous roles include: Gomez Addams (Addams Family Jr.), Mr. Wormwood (Matilda Jr.), Bill Sikes (Oliver! Jr.), Mr. Darcy (Pride and Prejudice), and Javert (Les Misérables). He plays the cello in String Orchestra, and is a member of Chamber Choir. He also partakes in Star 2B Performing Arts, and thanks them for their tremendous support. His biggest achievement in life is having a 225 day streak on Duolingo, however, he missed a few days, but that is just because of how hard he was working on the show. He would like to thank his family for giving him the oppurtunity to do what he loves, and thanks his friends for their continuous support. He hopes the audience will enjoy the show, as he knows you will be able to see the outstanding talent and the hardwork put in from the cast, crew, and pit orchestra!
Kelly See (Carmen Bernstein)
Kelly is super excited to be playing Carmen in this production of Curtains! Along with being Vice President of Proscenium, she is also in Beacon Performing Arts Center where she just played Berthe in Pippin. Some of Kelly's past roles include: Janis (Mean Girls), Maui (Moana Jr.), Lady Catherine de Bourgh (Pride and Prejudice), Miss Lynch (Grease), One of the Three Pigs (Shrek), Kurt's Mom (Heathers), and Grandmaster Chad (Legally Blonde). When she is not on stage or helping out backstage, she can be found hanging out with her friends or with her nose stuck in a book! She would like to thank the entire cast, crew, and production team for their hard work on this show! She hopes you enjoy the show!
Davis Hamboussi (Aaron Fox)
Davis is so exited to play Aaron in Proscenium’s production of Curtains. Davis is a freshman at John Jay and this is his second Proscenium show. Some of his previous roles are Pippin (Pippin), Mr. Bennet (Pride and Prejudice), Bill (Mamma Mia), and he will soon be playing Grover (The Lightning Thief). Davis would love to thank the creative team and all the other advisors for giving him this opportunity. He is also very thankful for his cast members for supporting him this whole process. Jules Cavarretta (Georgia Hendricks)
Jules is beyond excited to be portraying Georgia Hendricks in Proscenium's Curtains: The Musical. Outside of school, she can be found dancing at Pine Wood School of Dance, rehearsing at White Pond Community Arts—where she recently played Mary Park in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee—and spending time with friends. She would like to thank everyone involved in this production and you for stepping into the secrets hidden behind the curtains—but keep your eyes wide open; you might just become the next victim...
Layla McNeil (Niki Harris)
Layla is so excited for everyone to see Curtains! This is her final production with Proscenium and she will miss it like crazy. You might have seen her as “Motormouth” in Hairspray or “Kristine” in A Chorus Line. She will miss this family, and she will carry it with her through the rest of her life. She would like to thank her family for being by her side and purchasing so many tickets to see her through all 4 years. And she would love to thank her best friends. Without them…she wouldn’t be the person she is today. She would also like to give the absolute biggest thank you to McDonalds. McDonalds got Layla through so many shows and so many rehearsals. We love McDonald’s. She hopes all of you enjoy the show and she wishes you all love. “it wasn’t paradise, but it was home” <3
Ava Dvorak (Bambi Bernét)
Ava is a senior and is so proud to say she has been a part of Proscenium for 4 years now. A few favorite past roles include, Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Miss Sandra in All Shook Up, Hope in Urinetown, Amber in Hairspray, Val in A Chorus Line, Cady Heron in Mean Girls, Cinderella in Into the Woods, Sophie in Mamma Mia, and Heather McNamara in Heathers. Ava has also been a part of the Our Time Cabaret as the “sad girl” soloist at Stagedoor Manor. In addition, Ava represented John Jay as a nominee at the 2024 Roger Rees Awards for her portrayal of Eliza Doolittle. She also received the Oscar Hammerstein youth solo competition award. She would like to thank her parents for all their love and support and her amazing voice teacher Nancy Auffarth. Nate Riverso (Bobby Pepper)
Nate is super excited to perform as Bobby in Curtains! He is a senior here at John Jay and this is his 6th show with Proscenium. Some of Nate’s previous shows include Footloose, (Ren McCormack) 42nd Street, (Andy Lee) and A Choruse Line (Zach). Nate Is planning to go to college after high school and is interested in majoring in Civil Engineering with a minor in musical theater or dance. Nate would like to thank his friends and family for supporting him throughout the years ever since he started theater. As always, Nate hopes you enjoy the show!
Rinor Shala (Christopher Belling)
Rinor is SO excited to play Christopher Belling in Prosceniums production of Curtains. Rinor is a junior in John Jay Highschool and this is his 6th show with Proscenium. Some of his past roles include Link Larkin in Hairspray, Professor Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady, JD in Heathers, Chuck Cranston in Footloose. Rinor would like to thank his friends and family as well as his dear advisors that helped make all of this possible in the first place. Rinor hopes you come prepared to solve a murder as well as enjoy the show!!
Matthew Mulligan (Oscar Shapiro)
Matthew is so excited to be playing the role of Oscar in Proscenium's production of Curtains! He is a senior at John Jay and this is his second show. Matthew played Mr. Bingley in Proscenium’s production of Pride and Prejudice earlier this school year and is excited to be a cast member of his first ever Musical. Matthew likes to participate in the music groups around the school and is the co-president of John Jay’s Tri-M Music Honor Society as well as a member of the Mixed Chorus and the Chamber Choir. Matthew would like to thank his friends, family, and advisors for their support as he steps into his first musical!
Katarina Cvitkovac (Jessica Cranshaw)
Katarina is very excited to be in Curtains. She is a Junior at John Jay High School, and this is her 8th show at Proscenium. Her past shows are the Lion King (Ensemble), Annie (Star to Be), A Chorus Line (Vocal Ensemble), Head Over Heels (Arcadian Court &Pythios Minion) at Star2B, Beauty and the Beast (Ensemble), The Addams Famliy (Victorian Ancestor) at West Side Theatrix, 15 Minute Hamlet (Gertrude) at 4th Wall Production, My Fair Lady (Bartender), Hairspray (Ensemble 1), Footloose (Cop) and Pride & Prejudice (Ensemble). In addition to stage, she had been an extra in the following movies; The Shattered Mind and A Different Sun. Katarina would love to say thank you to everyone for supporting her and she would also love to say thank you to the creative team and her fellow cast and crew mates for working super hard. Owen Rondini (Sidney Bernstein)
Owen is thrilled (and a little anxious) to be playing the role of Sid Bernstein in Proscenium's production of Curtains. He is a sophomore at John Jay and this is his fourth show with Proscenium. Some of his previous shows include Oliver (Brownlow), My Fair Lady (Ensemble), Hairspray (Wilbur), and Pride & Prejudice (Collins). Owen devotes a bunch of time to Proscenium as it is one of the few outside things he does. If he's not doing this, he's either drawing, writing, or thinking. Or dreaming. Dreaming big. Owen would like to thank the advisors and creative team for giving him this opportunity. He would also like to thank his friends and family for their endless love and support. Justice Young (Daryl Grady)
Justice is beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to play Grady in Proscenium's performance of Curtains. Justice is a freshman at John Jay and this is his first show with Proscenium. Previous shows that he has done include The Sound of Music and Annie Jr. Justice is a part of the John Jay Mixed Chorus, and has just recently started to learn how to play the piano. He loves playing football in the fall for the John Jay JV team. Justice would like to thank Mr DeNardo and Emilio for helping him with his part, and leading him through the amazing opportunity that he has to be in Proscenium!
Madeleine Zeolla (Jenny Harmon)
Maddy is so excited to be playing the role of Jenny Harmon in this production of Curtains! This is the second show she's done with Proscenium in the cast and she is so so excited to be sharing the stage with such an amazingly talented cast! She does theater at Star 2 B Performing Arts and some of her past shows include Les Misérables (Gavroche), Urinetown (Hot Blades Harry), and Newsies (Jack Kelly). She'd like to thank all the crews and the creative team who made this show possible, as well as her friends and family for always supporting her (and driving her to and from rehearsals)! Gabriel Toplanaj (Randy Dexter)
Gabriel is really excited for this year's production of Curtains. He is a junior here at John Jay and his 3rd year in Proscenium, and his 6th show with Proscenium. He'd like to thank the advisors of Proscenium, as they always work to help and support him all the way from the first rehearsal to the last day of tech! He'd also like to thank his mother, father and brother, who throughout the whole show were all such a huge support system to him! Whether it was getting him food during rehearsal or even just helping him out by reading lines with him! He appreciates them greatly! Some of Gabriel's previous roles include: Hei-Hei (Moana Jr.), Swing for Paul, Mark, Don and Greg (A Chorus Line), Chip Swing/Tavernmaster (Beauty and the Beast), Freddy Eynsford-Hill (My Fair Lady), IQ/Mr. Pinky (Hairspray), Cowboy Bob (Footloose), Pride and Prejudice (Mr. Darcy).
Matthew Carcano (Harv Fremont)
Matthew is thrilled to be a part of Proscenium's 2025 spring production of Curtains. He is playing the role of Harv and can't wait for you to see him on stage. Matthew has been in other shows in Proscenium such as My Fair Lady and Hairspray and will undoubtedly continue to do every show that comes to offer!
Zack Mills (Detective O'Farrell)
Zack is thrilled to be back on stage at Proscenium! He is a freshman at John Jay and this is his 2nd show with Proscenium. Outside of John Jay, he performs with JPAC and Star 2B. Past roles include Mr Bennet, Lefou, Prince Eric, The Cat in the Hat, Brett, and the title role of the Giant Peach in James and the Giant Peach. In addition to performing Zack has sound designed one show, and was on tech crew for many others. He would like to thank all involved in this fabulous show, and his family for always supporting him. He would also like to his friends for being supportive and always putting up with his nonsense. Enjoy the show!
Alison Van Riper (Mona Page/Dance Captain)
Alison is so excited to perform in her 6th and final Proscenium show, Curtains! She is a competitive dancer at Inspired Dance Arts where she has won numerous awards and accolades. She practices tap, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, hiphop, and musical theatre. Her past Proscenium productions include Mamma Mia (Dance Captain/ensemble), A Chorus Line (Lori), My Fair Lady (Busker/Dance Captain), Hairspray (Nicest Kid Vicky/Dance Captain), and Pride and Prejudice (Charlotte Lucas). She also was selected to be a student choreographer and dancer in the student run showcase the last two years. Alison would like to thank all of her family and friends who have supported her throughout her Proscenium experience, and all the people Proscenium has helped her meet and connect with. She is grateful for the journey these past few years have given her. She thanks you for coming and hopes you enjoy the show!
Kendall Pugliese (Marjorie Cook/Dance Captain)
Kendall is thrilled to be playing the role of Marjorie Cook in Proscenium’s production of Curtains the Musical. Along side being in the show, Kendall is also a Dance Captain. Outside of Proscenium Kendall also does theater at Beacon Preforming Arts Center. She has been there for nine years and has done 11 productions with them so far. Some of her favorite roles include - Pippin (Fastrada), Mean Girls (Cady Heron), Legally Blonde (Elle Woods), Shrek the Musical (Fiona), and Frozen (Elsa). Kendall would like to give a huge thank you to all her friends and family for their support, and a huge thank you to all the Proscenium Advisors. Enjoy the show!!
Hailey Kershenbaum (Roberta Wooster)
Hailey is currently a sophomore this year and is very excited to be the Proscenium House/Publicity Crew Chief as well as playing Roberta in the cast of Curtains! Some of her previous roles include, Pride and Prejudice (Lydia), Footloose (Wendy Jo), Hairspray! (Nicest Kid Shelley), My Fair Lady (Maid #3), Legally Blonde (Kate), The Addams Family (Pugsley), 42nd Street (Ethel), and Moana (Pua). Hailey studies tap, musical theatre and hip-hop at Prestige Dance Factory, previously VP Dance Academy, where she has been dancing for 10 years. She has also been performing with the West Side Theatrix theatre company for the last 5 years and plays the clarinet in the John Jay Concert band. Hailey would like to thank Emilio and all of the Proscenium advisors for their guidance and encouragement. She would also like to thank her family and friends for all of their love and support. Jade Soedler (Arlene Barruca)
Jade is excited to be in Proscenium’s production of Curtains, The Musical! This is her fourth show with Proscenium. Jade has also done a number of shows outside of school with Standing Room Only Theater Company. Her favorite past roles include Valarie Clarke (A Chorus Line), Cinderella (Into the Woods), Miss Bingley (Pride and Prejudice), and Scarecrow (Wizard of Oz). Jade will also be in Star2B’s production of Chicago this spring. Jade would like to thank the Proscenium advisors, Dan and Eileen Sclafani at SRO for creating a safe place for her to express herself, and she would also like to thank her family and friends for always being her biggest fans. Mikayla Wiltshire (Jane Setler)
Mikayla is very thrilled to be involved and perform the play, Curtains, the murder mystery. She is a junior this year and shes had an amazing time working on this show. She has been in A Chorus Line (ensemble), Beauty and the Beast (ensemble), My Fair Lady (ensemble), Hairspray (Darla, nicest kids), and Pride and Prejudice (Ann de Bourgh). She danced all her life, and now enjoys dancing at Prestige Dance Factory, where she has already learned so much. She is very greatful to have these people in her life, and to have this opportunity. She is very excited to bring you the same joy and suspense she had when she saw this show. She knows this will be a show to remember!
Veronica Silva (Connie Subbotin)
Veronica is thrilled to be a part of the cast of Proscenium's production of Curtains. She is a sophomore at John Jay and this is her fourth show with Proscenium. Some of her previous shows include Pride & Prejudice (Miss Bingley), Hairspray (Nicest Kid), and My Fair Lady (main dancer). Veronica dances at Inspired Dance Arts where she studies ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, Pointe, lyrical, acro, contemporary, and musical theater. She is also in the yearbook club, Italian honors society, and math honors society. Veronica would like to thank the advisors and creative team for giving her this opportunity. Bella Perri (Peg Prentice)
Bella is so excited to be in Proscenium’s production of Curtains! She is a senior at John Jay, the current Production Treasurer of Proscenium, and has been doing theater for about 5 years. Her favorite past roles include Penny (Hairspray), Rusty (Footloose), Chip (Beauty & the Beast), and most recently Cosette (Les Misérables). She is sad that her time in Proscenium is coming to an end, but is eager to see what the future holds for her in college perusing music. She hopes you enjoy the show.
Annabelle Carola (Rae Stetson)
Annabelle is a freshman and is excited to be in her second show with Proscenium. She has been in 17 musical theater performances. Her favorite roles include Regina George in Mean Girls, Sheila in A Chorus Line, Wednesday in Addams Family, Race in Newsies, and Nancy in Oliver! Annabelle also traveled to California with BPAC Company in February 2025 to the Junior Theater Festival. She enjoys taking several different dance classes and being in chorus. Annabelle would like to thank her family and all the Proscenium advisors for their support. A big congratulations to the whole cast of Curtains!
Gianna Fallone (Brick Hawvermale)
Gianna is in 10th grade at John Jay, and this is her 3rd show with John Jay Proscenium. She was previously in the Ensemble of Hairspray and in Costume crew and Hair & Makeup crew for Pride & Prejudice. Gianna would like to thank all of the friends she has made in Proscenium for giving her another family, and is so excited to make so many more memories.
Ayla Miller (Ronnie Driscoll)
Ayla is so excited to be in Curtains!! She is a senior at John Jay and this is her 6th show in Proscenium. She has played Mrs. Bennet (Pride and Prejudice), a Dynamite (Hairspray), Rhonda (Almost, Maine) and ensemble in the other productions. She wants to thank her family and her friends that she got to do these shows with, and to thank everyone who has seen her through the years. She hopes you enjoy the show!!
Finnley Sullivan (Ruth Cochran)
Finnley is so excited to be in Proscenium’s production of Curtains! Finnley is a Junior at John Jay, has been in every Proscenium show since her freshman year, and is so thrilled to be a Proscenium Officer this year as well! Some of her favorite roles include: Cat in the Hat (Seussical), Jack’s Mother (Into The Woods), Chief Ancestor 2 (Moana), Policeman (My Fair Lady), Mrs. Heron (Mean Girls), Wicked Witch and Knight 3 (Shrek) and Ensemble (Carrie, Pippin, Beauty and the Beast, Hairspray, etc.). She has attended Beacon Performing Arts Center for the last 8 years, and this past fall was Assistant Music Director for their middle school production of 13! Jr. She also represented BPAC in Sacramento, California in February at MTI’s Junior Theatre Festival. Finnley would like to thank her family and friends for being so supportive of her journey, as well as the cast, crew, and creative team for putting together such an amazing production! Payton Barnum-Kegan (Ensemble)
Payton is thrilled to be in Curtains for her first time on the John Jay stage! She is a freshman Honors student and has been a part of the performing arts for 6 years. Some of her previous shows include Mean Girls (Regina George), Annie (Annie), and Legally Blonde (Elle Woods). Payton is on the JV girls soccer team here at John Jay and spring track. She sings every second she can get at home, while playing soccer, skiing, or just hanging with her friends. Payton would like to thank the advisors and creative team for giving her this opportunity. Casey is so glad to be back for Curtians. This is his 8th time going on stage, his older roles include Aaron Samules (Mean Girls Jr) FDR (Annie Jr) Weisel (Newsies JR) Ensemble (Pippin, Chicago, Pride and Prejudice). Outside theatre, Casey enjoys being active in scouts, and being with friends.

Her previous shows include 101 Dalmations (scottie) and Pride and Predjudice (ensemble). Chrissy also helps out with Makeup and Hair Crew during her time in Proscenium. Lucas is excited to be back on the Proscenium stage to be playing in the ensemble in Curtains. Previously you may have seen him ain the ensemble in Pride and Prejudice. Outside of Jay, Lucas does theater at Star 2B performing arts and JPAC. Previous roles include George Banks in Mary Poppins, Army officer in Les Mis and Archie in 13. Julia is very excited to be a part of John Jay Proscenium’s production of Curtains. She is a part of the ensemble. She has been in about 12 other shows including Oliver Jr. (Widow Corney), Into the Woods (Little Red Riding Hood), Frozen (Little Anna), 13 jr. (ensemble), and several other performances. Julia is a freshman here at John Jay High School. She is also a dancer at Prestige Dance Factory (formally known as VP Dance Academy). She has been dancing with them for six years now and enjoys it very much. Kyla Tayo (Ensemble)
Kyla is very excited to perform in her final Proscenium production of Curtains! She is a senior at John Jay High School and this is now her 11th production with Proscenium! She has previously been in A Chorus Line (Diana) and Addams Family (Wednesday). Kyla has also been a part of numerous backstage crews including Art, Hair/Makeup, Publicity/House, and was the former Crew Chief of Costumes. In the 2023-2024 school year, she held an officer position of Production Treasurer. Additional to Proscenium, Kyla plays the cello in Chamber Orchestra and sings in John Jay's Mixed Chorus. Mary Young (Ensemble)
Mary is excited to be part of the Curtains production. She has always had a love for theater and is excited for you to see a show that she and the whole cast has worked very hard on. Prior to this production, she has been ensemble in Cinderella, A Chorus Line, Beauty and the Beast, My Fair Lady, Hairspray, and she was Mary Bennet in Proscenium's most recent production: Pride and Prejudice. Mary has developed a strong connection with an abundance amount of people at Proscenium and hopes you enjoy to see the passion shared between each amazing crew, cast, and pit member.
