THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and a dilemma that’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family—a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before—keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

Poston Jr High turned 50 years old last year and continues to foster a community of excellence in a variety of areas including core academics, collaborative and personalized learning, as well as sports and performing arts.  The performing arts department consistently scores well at festivals and is proud to say we offer choir, orchestra, band, musical theatre, intro to drama, piano, guitar and an emerging and thriving dance program.  Our students are highly passionate about the arts and it shows in the high quality performances they give.  Our annual school musical is one example of how our community comes together to create an outstanding production that wows audiences and gives our students a professional-like theatre experience that expands their talents and opens up opportunities.  We hope you bring your families each year and make it a tradition to come see our shows!
