Levi A (Davey [Manhattan Newsie])
Levi A (Davey) is excited to be finishing his high school career with this production of Newsies. His favorite roles include Laurie (Little Women), Fea (Look me in the Eye), Flavio (Arlecchino’s Big Mistake) and this past summer he had the opportunity to attend a theatre program at Northwestern which he thoroughly enjoyed. He plans on pursuing a career in theatre after high school. Levi would like to thank all the directors for pouring their hearts into this production along with everyone who made this production possible. Enjoy the show!
Izzie A (Elmer [Manhattan Newsie])
Izzie A (“Elmer”) is excited to be participating in this years PCA musical of The Newsies. She has enjoyed past roles such an Imogene in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Outside of theatre, Izzie enjoys making earrings, drawing and spending time with her family. Izzie would like to thank God first for the opportunity to attend a school that enjoys the arts as much as she does. Izzie also wants to thank her parents for their support and encouragement along the way.
Emma A (Scab; Brooklyn Newsie)
Emma A (Scab) is excited to be apart of the PCA production of Newsies for her 8th grade year. Emma is looking forward to this because of all the action and dancing going on in this production. She also enjoys playing basketball, volleyball and singing. Emma would like to thank her parents for all their support. Also, God for giving her the confidence to audition the production.
Maycie A (Hannah; Nun; Bowery Beauty)
Maycie A is excited to be back on the stage for her Junior year. Her favorite roles have included Adella in The Little Mermaid and Charlotte in Cinderella. Outside of theatre, Maycie enjoys playing volleyball and spending time with her friends. Maycie would like to thank her family for their constant support and mostly God for the opportunity to perform again this year.
Lucy A (Specs [Manhattan Newsie], Dance Captain; Featured Dancer)
Lucy A, a freshman at PCA, is in Newsies as the dance captain. Dancing is her favorite part of any show, though she did enjoy being the lead last year in Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School's production of Frozen, Jr. In addition to theatre, Lucy enjoys playing piano, volleyball, and hanging out with friends. Lucy would like to thank her mom for her continued support and her dad for her inspiration to dance.
Tilly A (Citywide Newsie; Goon)
Tilly A (7th grade), a Citywide Newsie and goon, is looking forward to performing in her first show, Newsies. She enjoys soccer, basketball, snowboarding, and hanging out with friends. She is grateful to her sister Lucy for helping her with the show.
Sam B (Albert [Manhattan Newsie])
Sam B ("Albert") is excited for his first ever musical theatre performance as a PCA Senior. He has been looking forward to this debut and plans to leave it all on the stage. Sam gives it all to all his hobbies, including but not limited to: trumpet, improv, and being a good friend. He would like to thank all his friends and family for being so encouraging for trying something new.
Rachel B (Manhattan Newsie)
Rachel B is a senior at PCA and is excited for this performance of Newsies! This is her second musical and third show overall, and enjoys theatre more with each performance. Some of her favorite things about theatre are bonding with the rest of the cast, learning new skills, and getting to be silly! She would like to thank her parents for supporting her through this season and her friends for all the wonderful memories. Most of all, she is grateful that God gave her this opportunity to perform one last time before graduating!
Alex B (Crutchie [Manhattan Newsie])
Alex B (Crutchie), 8th grade, is excited to collaborate with this amazing cast and crew. Previous PCA credits include Cinderella (Lord Pinkleton), The Day the Internet Died (Uncle Dave), Little Women (Troll/Ensemble), At the Bottom of Lake Missoula (Brother) and, his very first show, Honk Jr. (Downy). In addition to PCA, Alex has also performed at Johnson Theater, Firehouse Center for the Arts, Rochester Opera House, and the Ogunquit Playhouse. Alex plays piano and studies music. Alex is grateful to God for His generous gifts, and for the support and encouragement of his family and friends.
Lily C (Brooklyn Newsie; Goon)
Lily C, grade 6, (Brooklyn Newsie and Goon) is delighted to be performing in her very first musical at PCA. Her prior roles include playing (herself) in Everything But, (Harold Hardluck) in Harold Hardluck’s Lucky Strike, and (Ollie Herdman) in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Lily also enjoys reading, listening to music, singing in the PCA choir, playing lacrosse, and hanging out with friends. Lily would like to thank her directors for putting so much work into the show, her parents for supporting her throughout this experience, and the Lord for giving her an opportunity to perform and have fun. Go Newsies!
Alex C (Medda Larkin; Featured Dancer)
Alex C (Medda Larkin) is so happy to be back on the PCA stage as a freshman. Her favorite roles include (Flounder) in The Little Mermaid at PCA, and (Frog) from A Year With Frog and Toad at Upside Arts. Outside of theatre, Alex enjoys listening to music, reading, and laughing so hard she can't breathe. Alex would like to thank her parents for driving her to rehearsals and her lovely sister for getting her through everything.
Emily C (Citywide Newsie)
Emily C (Citywide Newsie) is so excited for her first year on the PCA stage for 6th grade. Her favorite roles she has played have been (Granny) in an original play, Larger than life by Joshua Goldberg, and (The Roster) in a original adaptation of Tortoise and the Hare by Miles Burnes. Outside of school Emily enjoys soccer, playing video games, and theatre. Emily would love to thank her parents for helping her along, her friends who she laughs with a lot, and God, “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13
Charles C (Wiesel; Mayor; Stage Manager; Guard)
Charles C returns to the PCA stage for his Junior year in Newsies -- see if you can spot him in all of his different characters! He previously played a Kermit-loving academic contributor to Wikipedia in the PCA Black Box production of The Internet is Distract… Oh, Look, A Kitten! and a member of the colorful, always-in-motion chorus in The Little Mermaid. As a small child, he found a love for musical theatre in a review production of Mary Poppins with Cape Cod Kids on Broadway. When he is not at rehearsal, Charles rows crew for Great Bay Rowing, coaches skiing in the Winter and sailing in the Summer, helps keep his Teddy the Gent (his vintage Rover) running, and enjoys reading mythology and folklore with his great dane Garison. Charles would like to thank the faculty of PCA for their encouragement and support as his explores and finds his God-given potential.
El C (Snyder)
El C (Playing the terrifying Snyder the Spidah’) is in 11th grade and excited to be acting on the PCA stage again. In the past, El has worn many hats in the PCA theatre community, some examples being the 2020 Black Box show (The internet is Distracting- Oh look a kitten!) as (Mom). She also built set pieces for the past two spring productions. Outside of theatre; El is a history nerd, amateur geologist, an illustrator (see an example of Els work on stage during Newsies), as well as an athlete, rowing varsity crew for Great Bay Rowing and playing varsity rugby for NHYR. A big thank you to all of the coaches, directors, Mom and Dad, Charles, and friends for supporting El's many shenanigans and ideas.
Sunny D (Citywide Newsie)
Sunny D, a citywide Newsie, is really enjoying her time in theatre. This is only her second play, after last years Black Box production. Sunny also loves music, dancing, art, summertime and friends. Sunny would like to thank everyone that made this play possible and so much fun! And most of all God for blessing her with this amazing school!
Mr. Dunphy (Gov. Teddy Roosevelt )
Mr. Dunphy is an Upper School English and History teacher making a cameo appearance in this years spring musical!
Kendra D (Jojo [Manhattan Newsie]; Featured Dancer)
Kendra D, an eighth grader, is excited to perform as Jojo, a Manhattan Newsie, in her first musical at PCA. She is looking forward to dancing and singing with her friends on stage. Other than theatre, Kendra enjoys hanging out with her friends and playing piano. She wants to thank her parents for putting up with her tap dancing in the house, and God for giving her the ability to act.
Emma E (Buttons [Manhattan Newsie]; Featured Dancer)
Emma E (Buttons) is excited for the show during her Junior Year. Her favorite roles were (Alana) in The Little Mermaid and (Gabrielle) in Cinderella. Outside of the theatre Emma enjoys playing volleyball and hanging out with her friends. Emma would like to thank her parents for encouraging her in this opportunity.
Sara E (Scab; Brooklyn Newsie )
Sara E (Brooklyn Newsie, scab) is very excited to be in PCA's Production of Newsies. Her past roles include, The Sound of Music (Marta), Cinderella (Herold), and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Alice).
Isaac F (Romeo [Manhattan Newsie])
Isaac F (“Romeo”) is a Senior and has come out of retirement for his last show as a student. He has been looking forward to being part of the Newsies cast because it’s his favorite musical. Since transferring from Illinois last year, he has most recently been involved with lighting design for PCA theatre. Isaac is training to become a pilot and plans to fly airliners across the world. He would like to dedicate his performance to his friends back in Chicago who are rooting for him across a thousand miles.
Viola F (Mush [Manhattan Newsie])
Viola F ("Mush") is a sophomore this year and is so excited for her first PCA musical! Some of her favorite shows include Freaky Friday where she played the role of Torrey, and I Never Saw Another Butterfly, where she was one of the children. Outside of school she enjoys writing, reading, and spending time with her friends. She would like to thank her family for always supporting her, her friends for cheering her on, and God for giving her the opportunity and love for acting.
Phoebe G (Nun; Bowery Beauty; Brooklyn Newsie)
Phoebe G (Nun, Bowery Beauty, Brooklyn Newsie) is ecstatic to be back on the PCA stage for her Junior year. She is looking forward to being in the show because performing gives her joy. In addition to theatre, Phoebe also competes in Irish Step Dance, reads a ton, and hangs out with her family, including her four cats. Phoebe would like to thank her family for giving her love and support even through her crazy schedule, and God for giving her this opportunity (Psalm 18:34).
Louisa H (Henrietta [Manhattan Newsie]; Featured Dancer)
Louisa H (Henrietta) is a junior and is returning for her SIXTH ensemble role. (Fingers crossed for next year)! Louisa's interests include science, nature, painting, and babysitting. She would like to dedicate this performance to Millie who taught her "to thine own self be true."
Millie H (Scab; Brooklyn Newsie)
Millie H (Scab/Brooklyn Newsie) is a 6th grader, and this is her third PCA production. She also performed as (Brigitta) in The Sound of Music at the Rochester Opera House. Her other interests include hanging out with her pet bunny Rosie, speaking in strange voices and singing in the shower. She also enjoys playing basketball and soccer, and she would like to dedicate this performance to Jeremy Jordan, the apple of her eye.
Josiah H (Jack)
Josiah H (Jack Kelly) is bursting with enthusiasm to perform in Newsies in his Junior year. This will be his first theatre production and his favorite. Outside of theatre, Josiah enjoys playing the piano and is an avid reader. Josiah would like to thank his parents for driving his 5 brothers home every night allowing him this opportunity to perform. He would also like to thank his wonderful friends who encouraged him to join theatre and have always been there to support him.
Elijah H (Tommy Boy [Manhattan Newsie]; Bill)
Elijah Howard (Tommy Boy) is so excited for Newsies for his 7th grade year. This will be his first and favorite show. Elijah enjoys playing violin and is a creative artist. Elijah would like to thank his parents for always supporting him, and his brother for being such a great role model.
Mia L (Featured Dancer )
Mia L is thrilled to be back on the PCA stage as a featured dancer. Mia would like to thank everyone putting the show together for allowing her to perform in it, despite her busy dance schedule outside of school. Lastly, Mia would like to thank her grandparents, because without them she would not be able to attend PCA.
Mr. Littlefield (Morris Delancey)
Mr. Littlefield is an Upper School teacher making a cameo appearance in this year's spring musical.
Jonah L (Joseph Pulitzer)
Jonah (Joseph Pulitzer) is excited to be performing again on the PCA stage for his Junior year. You might recognize Jonah from past roles with the PCA Players of (Bob Bradley) in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, and (Vio) in Look Me in the Eye. Outside of theatre, Jonah enjoys unicycling, basic home chemistry (Bavarian pretzel-making), and vexillology. Jonah would like to thank the team at Jordan’s Furniture in Nashua and the author of the New York Times bestseller Frindle, Andrew Clements.
Elizabeth M (Ike [Manhattan Newsie])
Elizabeth M is so stinking excited to be playing Ike (a Manhattan newsie) for her Junior year. This is her first-ever musical, and she is looking forward to every aspect of it. When she's not hawking newspapers or on strike, she can be found on the couch with a book in her hand. She would like to thank her sister for being "ever so patient" with the songs and dances she had to practice at home, and her dad for setting up a miniature tap-dance practice place.
Emma M (Citywide Newsie )
Emma M is so excited to share her love for dancing as she embarks on her first year on the PCA stage as a sixth grader. While not on stage at school, Emma enjoys her many hours spent in the gym training for gymnastics, sleepovers with her friends, and listening to country music attending live concerts in the summer. Emma is thankful for her family, friends, and teachers for always believing in her and helping guide her way to success.
Luc M (Oscar Delancey)
Luc M is making his debut on the PCA stage as Oscar Delancey. This will be his first time performing in a PCA Player's production and he is excited!
Linnie N (Nun; Bowery Beauty; Brooklyn Newsie; Woman)
Linnie N (Nun, Woman, Bowery Beauty, Brooklyn Newsie) is super excited to be a part of Newsies during her sophomore year. Her other favored roles include ensemble in PCA’s production of Cinderella and Little Women. Linnie enjoys reading and talking with friends. She would like to thank her friend Chloe Tan for keeping her sane during the process and Anna Odom for her constant kindness, along with her friends Bianca Wibowo, Chloe Dye, and Jason Hornbeck for playing in the pit orchestra this year.
Anna O (Seitz; Bowery Beauty)
Anna O (Seitz, Bowery Beauty) can’t wait to join PCA for her first theatrical production as a Freshman. She is excited to watch the music, dancing, and acting all come together for Newsies. In her free time, Anna loves to play her flute and piano, read, and watch 60s musicals. She would like to thank Mrs. Goss for the countless hours she spent choreographing and helping the cast.
Samara O (Citywide Newsie; Featured Dancer)
Samara O (citywide newsie) is looking forward to this show as a 6th grader. She is looking forward to being in this production because she loves the dancing and the songs they do. Outside of theatre, she enjoys doing sports such as gymnastics, cross country, and basketball. Samara would like to thank her parents for letting her be a part of this production and have the opportunity to be with the talented cast.
James P (Les [Manhattan Newsie])
James P is ready to have some fun with the PCA players as Les! He's new to PCA and is in the seventh grade. He's excited to have fun with the rest of the cast while acting. In addition to acting, James enjoys spending time outside, reading, and playing with his brother. James would like to thank his family for supporting him throughout the theatre process.
Julianna P (Citywide Newsie; Goon; Featured Dancer)
Julianna P is excited to make her theatre debut with the PCA Players this year. She has 6 years of dance training experience and has performed in several dance recitals but has yet to be a part of a theatre production. Outside of theatre Julianna enjoys playing team sports such as volleyball and basketball. Her hobbies include spending time with her friends and arts and crafts.
Mason R (Bunsen; Mr. Jacobi; Police)
Mason R is thrilled to be back on the PCA stage for his sophomore year. His favorite roles include Leroy Herdman in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever at PCA, and this year Bunsen in Newsies. Outside of theatre, Mason enjoys Boy Scouts, Blacksmithing, and Tae Kwon Do. Mason would like to thank his parents for their continued support, and God for giving him this opportunity.
Savannah  (Mike [Manhattan Newsie]; Darcy)
Eighth grader Savannah S is excited to be back on stage playing Mike and Darcy! She is excited to be back on stage because she has loved acting for many years now. Outside of theatre Savannah is a dancer at Studio Be. and Sole City. She would like to thank her family for always supporting her in everything she chooses.
Mr. Sharbaugh (Nunzio)
Mr. Sharbaugh is a Bible teacher at the Upper School making a cameo appearance in this year's spring musical.
Liana S (Manhattan Newsie )
Lia S is flipping to be a newsie in her junior year here at PCA! Lia has experience flipping as the fox/footman in the Cinderella Musical from last year and also has acting experience from last years Black Box show, I Never Saw Another Butterfly. Besides theatre, Lia teaches gymnastics and enjoys spending her free time drawing, writing and imagining. Lia wants to thank her siblings for attentively watching her dance rehearsals in the kitchen at home and Jesus for allowing her to play this role!
Olivia S (Citywide Newsie)
Olivia S is 13 and in 7th grade. She is playing the role of a citywide newsie. Her favorite role from her past shows include Harold from Cinderella, and Maxine from The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Outside of theatre, Olivia likes to play soccer, listen to music, and sing in the middle school choir. She would like to thank her parents for taking time to drive her to rehearsal.
Abby T (Nun; Brooklyn Newsie)
Eighth grader Abigail T is excited to be in the ensemble of PCA’s production of Newsies. Abby has been Henrietta Stenz in The Day the Internet Died, Gladys Herdman in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, and in the ensemble of Little Women and Cinderella, all at PCA. Other than theatre, she likes to sew, and occasionally draw. Abby would like to thank her parents for bearing with the out-of-routine pick-up times, and her sister, for always giving her a good strangle when she needs it, but especially when she doesn’t.
Chloe T (Finch [Manhattan Newsie]; Featured Dancer)
Sophomore Chloe T (Finch) is beyond thrilled to be a part of PCA's spring production of Newsies! Chloe's obsession with Newsies began long before this year and she has never been more excited to be part of a musical. Some of her favorite past roles include her ensemble roles in Cinderella and The Little Mermaid. In addition to theatre, Chloe enjoys playing the piano and overanalyzing every piece of music presented to her. She would like to thank her parents for driving her to rehearsal against their will and to her friends for listening to her sleep-deprived ramblings.
Anna T (Race [Manhattan Newsie]; Featured Dancer)
Anna T (Racetrack) is so excited to be back on the PCA stage again for her Freshman year. Her favorite roles include Morticia Addams in the Addams Family at Dover High School and Louisa in the Sound of Music at Rochester Opera House. Outside of theatre, Anna enjoys playing volleyball and spending time with friends and family. Anna would like to thank her parents for always supporting her and guiding her and her neighbor for always encouraging her and making her laugh.
Grace W (Katherine)
Grace W is a freshman at the upper school and will be playing the role of Katherine. Newsies has been one of Grace's favorite musicals ever since she watched it for the first time. She loves the upbeat music and the funny and relatable characters which is why she can't wait to perform the show for others to enjoy. When Grace isn't rehearsing for shows, she loves to paint and watch movies with friends. Grace appreciates the time and effort her family gives to her during this fun but stressful season. She's grateful for their support and help, like helping her memorize her lines. She is also grateful for her friends who encouraged her every step of the way.
Aubrey Z (Splasher [Manhattan Newsie]; Spot; Featured Dancer)
Aubrey Z (Featured dancer, Spot, Splasher) is thrilled to be back on the stage for her eighth grade year. Her past roles include Marta in The Sound of Music at the Rochester Opera House, Midge in Wipeout at Pinestreet Players, Dancer in Fame at Pinestreet Players, Lady of the Court in Cinderella at Portsmouth Christian Academy, Mayor and Nina in The Day the Internet Died at Portsmouth Christian Academy, Sister in At the Bottom of Lake Missoula at Portsmouth Christian Academy, Troll in Little Women at Portsmouth Christian Academy, and Grandmother in Into The Woods at Prescott Park Camp Encore. Outside of theatre, Aubrey enjoys playing basketball and soccer, hanging out with friends and watching tv. Aubrey would like to thank her Grandma for continuing her passion for theatre.
