As a non-profit 501 ( c ) 3 organization, we pride ourselves on providing affordable performing arts experiences to our community. After COVID-19 we lost close to $300,000.000 in 2 years. We appreciate every size dollar and donation to help us continue onward for the next 20 years and beyond!
Theater is expensive…here's why:
Dance shoes cost about $30 per actor.
A single 4x8 sheet of plywood often used to build our sets is $50.
A gallon of paint is about $30 per color.
Makeup and hair costs per actor are about $50 per production.
Each costume that we make costs approximately $150 per actor (and many actors have multiple costumes.)
Each microphone costs about $350 per actor to rent.
Programs cost about $500 to print per production.
It costs about $1000 to maintain and run our Whipple turntable per show.
Our scenic design, construction, and painting cost about $1000 per show.
Each lighting fixture costs about $500 to rent.
PG&E costs per production are about $1500.
A show kit for licensed rights to each production costs about $4000.
Our monthly rent is $7500.
The cost of changing lives through the magic of storytelling? Priceless.
