About Picnic With the Pops: 6th Street Meets Tinseltown

Mark your calendar for the revival of a Hoptown classic: Picnic with the Pops, an outdoor fundraiser and silent art auction as the Pennyroyal Arts Council’s annual fundraiser on Saturday, May 11.

Todd Hill and his orchestra will entertain us from the Arthur Plaza on 6th street with timeless favorites for fans of the golden age of Hollywood, music from the 20s to the 60s with the stories behind them serving up a musical banquet that feeds every soul.

Patrons at the event are encouraged to decorate their tables in accordance with the theme of The Golden Age of Hollywood and to support local downtown restaurants with take-out orders / boxed dinners in advance for the outdoor show. Participating restaurants this year include The Mixer, The Local, Butter and Grace, Corner Coffee House, and WB Express.

You won’t want to miss the SILENT AUCTION featuring local artists, which will take place during the evening in the Alhambra lobby.

Supporting Cast: you will need to bring your own chair and will enjoy the performance from the Courthouse Lawn.

Ensemble Table: each high-top table will come with 2 seats.

Conductor Table: each low-top table will come with 4 seats

Director Table: each low-top table will come with 8 seats.

Producer Table: each low-top table will come with 8 seats positioned closest to performers.
