June Ballinger presents The Crone Barrier, a solo work in development directed by Fay Alystine Simpson, exploring aging, sexuality, and what genuine power looks like later in life. Remembrance Day, her previous solo work directed by Janice L. Goldberg, premiered at Passage Theatre in 2016. Based on her mother's life as a British code breaker at Bletchley Park during WWII, it has since enjoyed subsequent productions.  June has performed on Broadway, off-Broadway, and in numerous regional theatres across the country. Television and film credits include Only Murders in the Building, The Blacklist, Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, and Netflix's Monster. Two films are currently in post-production: Reimagined (dir. Mateo Messina) and Jack Rabbit (dir. Ballard C. Boyd). She is an adjunct professor at Fordham University, a company member of The Actors Center, a longtime member of Ensemble Studio Theatre, and a trustee of Woodie King Jr.’s New Federal Theatre and Impact Theatre NYC. She served as Executive Artistic Director of Passage Theatre for 22 years and is delighted to return to its stage under the inspired artistic leadership of Brishen Miller.
