The program is intensive, featuring specialized faculty for technical theatre, musical direction, and dance. 

Theatre I (Introduction to Theatre) focuses on foundational acting, history, technical theatre, and script analysis. It introduces stage directions, genres, and basic performance skills. Theatre II provides a more in-depth, advanced study of these topics, often emphasizing individual acting techniques, scene production, and directing.

Theatre II allows students to pursue a more in depth study of all aspects of theatre.  This is a more in-depth look at theatre as an art form where students delve deeper into it's history, learn more advanced acting techniques, and get their feet wet with tech! 

The Paseo Academy of Fine and Performing Arts Theatre Department in Kansas City, MO, features a newly renovated, state-of-the-art auditorium seating over 1,000 guests. It acts as a hub for student-driven productions, including plays, musicals, and showcases, supported by specialized technical theatre, dance, and musical instruction. The department produces a wide array of shows, including major musical productions (e.g., Little Shop of Horrors), dramatic showcases, and middle school performances. The theatre serves as a showcase for students, offering opportunities to perform in various venues, including a blackbox theatre for intimate productions.
