Disney's Little Mermaid Cast

Little Mermaid (Hannah Weber)
This is Hannah's 7th production with the Palestine Community Theatre and her 11th musical production overall. Playing the role of Ariel has been an experience "Beyond her Wildest Dreams." Hannah first fell in love with theatre during PCT's 2013 production of "Annie" in which she portrayed Annie. She is thrilled to return to the stage as another redhead. Her favorite part of "The Little Mermaid" has been sharing the spotlight with her father, Larry Weber (Scuttle). Hannah is currently pursuing a degree at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, but is delighted to spend the summer on the Texas Theatre stage, what she calls "home."
Eric (Caleb Estrada)
Caleb Estrada has been part of the Palestine Community Theatre for many years. He started back in 2007 with performing in the live orchestra for the musicals The King and I, 1776, Sugar, and Beauty and the Beast. He later received the opportunity to conduct the orchestra with the shows Wizard of Oz and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. After a time away, Caleb returned to the theatre to perform on stage for his first performance of Elf. This will be Caleb's first performance as a principal role and he is excited that it will be as Prince Eric for The Little Mermaid. He and his family are huge fans of Disney. His wife is "always planning the next Disney trip."
Sebastian (Jean Warren)
Jean Warren, who plays the role of Sebastian, is excited about making her Palestine Community Theatre debut in The Little Mermaid. She has always maintained a love for the arts and has experience with the stage through dance, school and church theatre, and musical performances over the last 30 years. Jean lives in Palestine with her spouse, James, and her two daughters and has worked as a registered nurse for 11 years. She enjoys spending time with her family and can’t wait for you to see the amazing talent that Palestine has in The Little Mermaid!
Ursula (Monica Cantrell)
Monica Cantrell is thrilled to be back on stage at the historic Texas Theatre. Her last role was Eliza Doolittle in the 1997 PCT production of My Fair Lady. She spends her days as a homeschool mom and an aspiring interior designer. Monica is a member of the Calvary Christian Center worship team, the church she and her husband of 24 years attend.
Flounder (Kimber Gibson)
Kimber is an 11 year old born and raised in Palestine, Texas. She’s loved dancing and singing since she was a baby. She just finished her fourth year at New Creations Dance Studio where she has learned many different dance styles and skills. This is her first performance with PCT and her first musical. She will be moving on to junior high (6th grade) and is excited to begin a journey in band and theater. She was in the Miss Dogwood Trails pageant where she received first runner up in the pre-teen division.
Flotsam (Rylee Ivins)
Hello I'm Rylee Ivins! I have been acting and singing since a very young age and grew up in a musical family from which I got all of my inspiration. At the age of 13, I acted in my first musical, “My Son Pinocchio,” right here in this theater back in 2019 where I performed the role of Rosa the Red Fairy. When I found out about this production of “The Little Mermaid,'' I immediately auditioned and, to my surprise, got the part I've wanted since I knew about this show! I would not be here without my family and friends to support me through this roller coaster of emotions and fun. No dream is too big and no part is too small!
Jetsam (Megan Weber)
Hi! My name is Megan Weber. I’m 26 years old, and I just finished my final semester of college in the spring, earning a bachelor’s degree in instrumental music education and a bachelor’s degree in music performance on alto saxophone. I am not a trained singer, and I have never been in a musical – this is my first, and I am loving it! There is so much talent on the stage and behind the scenes. I look forward to continually being a part of Palestine Community Theatre, growing as an artist and helping keep the arts alive in this community!
Triton (Doug Smith)
Doug is a 1975 graduate in Theatre and History from East Texas State University. His debut on the Palestine stage was in the 1980 Kenny Adams production of “The Sound of Music” at the Texas Theatre. He has since directed and performed in numerous PCT productions, most recently directing “1776” and appearing in “Ghosts, the Musical“, “Red Velvet Cake Wars”, “Little Shop of Horrors” and portraying the title role in “Shrek, the Musical“. His greatest pleasure has been sharing the theater experience with his children and grandchildren, five of whom are in the cast of “Little Mermaid."
Scuttle (Larry Weber)
Larry has been been performing for audiences as a musician, vocalist and actor most of his life. He began performing for Texas Theatre audiences in 2013 as the butler in “Annie.” Following another butler role in “Mary Poppins,” he portrayed Jinks in “Forever Plaid”, as Donkey in “Shrek the Musical”, followed by the Worm in “James and The Giant Peach”, the Dentist in “Little Shop of Horrors”, DeWayne in “9 to 5” and Buddy in “Elf the Musical.” He loves sharing the stage with his daughter, Hannah, who is portraying Ariel in this production.
Grimsby (Alan Buckland)
Alan Buckland is cast as Grimsby in The Little Mermaid. He is active in PCT having played as Geppetto in “My Son Pinocchio;” Smee and Mr. Darling in “Peter Pan;” and as the Store Manager in “Elf the Musical”. He is the proud father to a talented young actress/dancer, Natalie Buckland, who shares the stage and his love of theatre.
Chef Louis (Thommas Fitzgerald)
Thommas Fitzgerald has been acting since high school and with PCT since 2013. Some of his favorite roles are Father Adam in Christmas Gifts, Isadore “Buzz” Crenshaw in A 1940’s Radio Christmas Carol, Uncle Fester in The Addams Family Musical, and Jim in Gift of the Magi. This show is special for Thommas because his wife and 3 of his 4 children will be sharing the stage together. He hopes that you enjoy the show!
