Larry Watts

With more than 20 years of experience, a B.A. in Theater Education from Cal State Fullerton, and having graduated from the American Center for Musical Theater at the Los Angeles Music Center, Larry has directed and designed over 200 productions throughout Southern California and the United States.  He has directed and designed for Theater League (national tours), McCoy Rigby Productions, Newport Theater Arts, Huntington Beach Playhouse, Arroyo Repertory Theater, and the Norris Performing Arts Center, to name a few. Some of his favorite productions include Cinderella, Cabaret, Once on This Island, Carnival, and Pirates of Penzance.  Larry also maintains a costume business with his partner Tom Phillips and provides costumes throughout the United States. Larry’s goal, in working in youth theater, is to give the students a base for their possible future careers and to help them find a sense of pride and self.

 

Kathleen Sullivan 

Kathleen received a B.A. in Music from LMU, studying choral music and conducting with Paul Salamunvich, and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Cal State Fullerton. She has performed with Opera a la Carte and other Civic Light Opera companies appearing in musicals and operettas. Kathleen has also sung under the baton of renowned conductors  Esa-Pekka Salonen, John Mauceri, Carl St. Clair, and most recently Gustavo Dudamel. Performances include West Coast premiers of works by Philip Glass and Richard Danielpour, concerts with Andrea Bocelli, and standard choral repertoires such as Carmina Burana and Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. Most recently Kathleen has extended her musical endeavors to include songwriting and recording and can be heard on “Wings of Healing”, a Christian radio program broadcast nationwide. She takes great pleasure in sharing her knowledge and experience with singers of all ages, through private voice lessons, directing church choirs, and musical theatre.  

 

Michael Sullivan

Michael Sullivan is in the process of finishing his vocal music degree at California State University, Long Beach. Before working for Our Lady of Guadalupe School, Michael had performed for four years at Los Alamitos High School in their award-winning Tenor/Bass show choir as the baritone section leader and spent his senior year in their national championship-winning mixed elite show choir as the bass section leader. He is currently in his third year as a part of CSULB’s University Choir where he also receives regular advanced voice lessons. Michael previously taught with World Power Martial Arts where he served as an instructor and earned his first-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and with the South Bay Conservatory where he worked as the assistant music director for three years. 

 

Susana G. Lopez 

Susana Lopez is an aspiring Cultural Anthropologist, whose interest in musical theater grows with every production. She has performed as Ursula in The Little Mermaid, Mrs. Andrews in Mary Poppins, and Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast. She has worked on Musicals such as Shrek the Musical, Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and The Lion King. She believes that the best memories are formed within these art programs, which help a child expand their creativity and imagination. She is extremely proud of this cast for the continuous efforts and dedication they offered to this production and wishes to thank all of those who made this moment here possible.
