Director
John Dement, MFAAs an Associate Professor of Theatre Arts, John Dement, serves as the Director of Theatre for the Theatre Arts program at OBU. In addition to twenty-seven years of teaching, John brings experience in all areas of the professional theatre industry, including directing forty-plus academic and community theatre productions and performing onstage in Louisiana and Texas. While living in Texas, John worked in the television and film industries. As a designer, John's credits include scenic, lighting, and sound design for theatre, dance, and film.

Playwright Mentor, Music Director
C. Alex Webster, MFAAlex loves working in musicals and development! Her recent performance work includes award-winning solo show Yellow performed in BOX Fringe Festival (TX), Theatre Crude Fringe Festival (OKC), and Asheville Fringe (NC) and 9 in the Morning performed at Fringe Marfa (TX) and Texas Tech University (TX). Her recent technology work includes Costume Designer for Transforma Theatre's BIOADAPTED with NYT Review: "sleekly designed, thoughtfully assembled", Neuroscience Assistant for The Female Role Model Project at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and Artistic Director with Imagination Wave's inaugural Devising Intensive. Alex is a proud alum of Texas Tech University with an MFA in Theatre Performance and Pedagogy, Brevard College with a BA in Theatre, Voice, and Fine Arts Communications, Jeannie LoVetri's Somatic VoiceworkTM with a Level 3 certificate, the Tennessee Williams Institute, Third Rail Project's Devising Intensives, and Bilkent University's Ritual and Mask Institute. She is the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Region 6 Board Vice Co-Chair and the Board Vice President for Transforma Theatre.

Playwright
Elena StreettElena has loved music, theatre, and storytelling since a young age. Her recent performance work includes the Witch in Into the Woods, Jr. and Truvy in Steel Magnolias, both with Oklahoma Baptist University Theatre. Before coming to OBU, she directed the first workshop production of Dreamers. This summer she will be an assistant director at Stage West in Fort Worth. Besides writing for theatre, Elena also writes poetry. Her poems can be found in Folio and Vita Poetica.
Sound Engineer
Jordan Evans Jordan is a 2023 OBU theatre graduate who is now a freelance technician and designer in the OKC metro. He is working with the Civic Center, Rose State, Lyric Theatre, and more. He is excited to be back at OBU and working on this new musical!
