Director/Curator

Roberto Di Donato

He-him/They-them MFA, Directing & MAA, Theater and Production Management. Roberto is a Venezuelan-Italian-American artist from the colonized territories originally known as home for the Tawakoni and Wichita nations of Texas. His translation of the Nobel Prize Laureate, Luigi Pirandello, has been seen in NYC and are projected for a revival. He is writing his debut novel that reflects the complexities of Latin identity in the world of capitalist art making. They are the Managing Director of the Latin Musical Theatre Lab in NYC. Roberto is co-Founder and co-Executive Producer for Vibrancy Theater, and co-produced the world premiere of Absentia, as well as Associate Artistic Director of Frank Wo/Men Collective, the award-winning Austin-Based performance collective. Frank Wo/Men was named “The Best of Austin” for their work and listed as “Top Arts Related Thing to Do” by the Austin Chronicle. Roberto was an Artist in Residency with Fusebox Festival and Texas Performing Arts 2020. He is the recipient of the Original Works Grant to fund research in Berlin, Germany and is a nominee for an Excellence in Leadership award at Ohio University. www.robertodidonato.net

Klae Bainter

MFA, Playwrighting, Third Year. Klae is a Seattle based playwright & essayist. His plays use poetic language to examine the grotesque nature of people, their values, and the spaces they hold sacred. He’s developed work with Cleveland Drafts Literary Festival (2018), and even did a little performing with Manhattan Project (Cleveland, Ohio). His play “Bullshit” was part of the 2019 NEOMFA Playwrights’ Festival at Convergence Continuum (Cleveland, Ohio). He has had essays and poetry published with Barnhouse Journal, Piff Magazine, Signal Mountain Review, and others, with work forthcoming from Invisible City Journal. Klae received his BA (cum laude) in English Literature, with a Creative Writing focus from the University of Washington.

Baz spent ten years working in the San Francisco Bay Area with notable companies such as: Berkeley Repertory Theatre, the American Conservatory Theatre, the California Shakespeare Theatre. He also spent five years working as Technical Director at California State University: East Bay in Hayward, CA. He graduated with a BA from Kent State University in 2009.
