The OdysseyStage Next Act Festival is a three-day celebration of fearless new theatre, made right here in North Carolina. From November 7–9, 2025, the PSI Theatre at the Durham Arts Council will come alive with four staged readings by NC playwrights, brought to life by local actors and directors. Each performance includes a post-show talkback, giving audiences the chance to engage directly with the artists. With panels, workshops, and a festive closing toast, Next Act is where bold stories meet adventurous audiences.

OdysseyStage is a Durham-based nonprofit (501c3) theatre collective dedicated to developing and producing new works by North Carolina playwrights. We bring together actors, directors, and writers from across the Triangle to create theatre that is intimate, fearless, and rooted in community. From mainstage productions to staged readings, education programs, and our annual Next Act Festival, OdysseyStage provides a platform for artists to take creative risks and for audiences to discover the next wave of powerful voices in NC theatre.
