Based on Roald Dahl’s timeless children’s novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the beloved motion picture, Willy Wonka Jr. is a scrumdidilyumptious Broadway Junior musical filled with imagination, mischief, and larger-than-life characters!

When young Charlie Bucket finds one of the five coveted Golden Tickets, he wins the chance of a lifetime: a tour of the mysterious Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. Alongside four other delightfully different children, Charlie steps into a world of pure imagination where chocolate rivers flow, Oompa-Loompas sing clever warnings, and surprises wait around every corner. As each child reveals their true character, it becomes clear that the factory holds lessons far sweeter than candy.

Willy Wonka Jr. is a colorful, high-energy production packed with unforgettable songs, whimsical storytelling, and vibrant dance numbers. Featuring performers from 5th through 12th grade—along with our elementary choir and 3rd–5th grade dance troupe—this all-school collaboration celebrates creativity, talent, and the joy of live theatre. It’s a sweet treat for audiences of all ages!

NVCA has a robust and thriving K—12 theater arts and dance program. Our annual all-school musical is presented each spring in addition to other special seasonal productions throughout the school year. Theatre curriculum is taught and presented in a way that embraces, encourages and supports biblical world-view. Students are encouraged to uphold biblical standards and truth in their choices as creative and artistic individuals and as future leaders.
