About 12 Angry Jurors
12 Angry Jurors, adapted by Sherman L. Sergel from Reginald Rose’s Emmy Award–winning teleplay, is set in 1957 inside a New York City jury room. Twelve ordinary people must decide the fate of a young man accused of murder, bringing their own histories, biases, and prejudices into the deliberation. Originally written as 12 Angry Men—when women were not yet allowed to serve on juries—the play examines the weight of responsibility and how our choices, or lack of them, carry consequences. Recommended for ages 12 and up.
