The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical is a high-energy rock musical based on Rick Riordan's popular 2005 novel. The story follows 12-year-old Percy Jackson, who discovers he is the son of a Greek god. To prevent a war among the gods, Percy embarks on a quest to find Zeus’ missing lightning bolt. Along the way, he and his friends battle mythological creatures, solve the Oracle's riddle, and journey to the Underworld.

Set primarily at Camp Half-Blood, the show explores themes of collaboration and belonging. With music and lyrics by Rob Rokicki and a book by Joe Tracz, the musical is praised for its innovative and electrifying style. 

Suitable for all audiences (recommended for ages 5 and up), the production promises to deliver an inspiring and thrilling experience for all.

NLRHS is proud to have a long tradition as one of the largest speech, drama, and dance programs in the state of Arkansas. NLRHS presents two main stage productions, and two dance concerts each season. NLRHS employs 7 incredibly talented faculty and educates approximately 500 students in ALL aspects of the speech, dance, and theater arts.
