Kalimah Williams (DR. STEPHANIE SMITH)
Kalimah Williams is from Salisbury, NC, and is Senior at North Carolina Central University majoring in Theatre with a concentration in Performance. She played Angel in Natural by the Agape Theatre One Act Play Festival (2023), Mrs. Pace in On Strivers’ Row by NCCU (2023), Mrs. Deborah in The Bus Stop by NCCU (2022), and Mrs. Caldwell in One Monkey Don’t Stop No Show by NCCU (2022). Her awards and recognitions include Distinguished Performance by an Actor in The Bus Stop (2023) by KCACTF, Superior Playwright for Minstrel Matrimony (2023) by NADSA, and Excellence in Performance and Excellence in Leadership from NCCU’s 2023 Honors Convocation.
Derontay Alexander (RUFUS MAYBERRY, JR.)
Derontay Alexander is from Greensboro, NC, and a second degree Junior majoring in Theatre with a Performance Concentration . He is a trumpet player in the NCCU Sound Machine Marching Band. Derontay is also a graphic designer. He would like to thank his family , and the department for giving him this opportunity.
Tyrone Andrews (MUNROE (MONKEY MAN))
Tyrone Andrews is from Rochester, New York, and is a Freshman at NCCU majoring in Theatre with a concentration in Performance. He was recently seen as Kenny in NCCU's Chicken and Bisuits and LeFou in Irondequait High School's Beauty and the Beast. He would like to give Special thanks to God! and my support system (sisters, brothers, in-laws, cousins, friends and professors who believe in me).
Josiah Johnson (FRED)
Josiah Johnson, from Greensboro NC, is a Freshman Theatre Performance Concentration Major at NCCU. He was recently seen in Fiddler on the Roof as Lazar Wolf (2023), in Crazy for You as Moose (2023). This is his debut performance on the NCCU University stage. He wishes to thank his family for their love and support.
Corinthius Giles (JUNIOR)
Corinthius Giles is an actor from the lovely city of Goldsboro NC. He’s been acting ever since he was a child and has a true passion for the arts. He began deeper studies within his artistry in 2019 where he pursued Acting/Music and Dance while making a connection to them all as a way of life
Malachi Moore (DR. HENRY SHELTON)
Malachi Moore is from Cary, NC and a Sophomore Performance Concentration Theatre Major here at NCCU. This is his fourth production here in the Theatre Department. He worked as a stagehand for Me Too Monologues and stared as Ken Page in the musical Ain't Misbehavin. He would like to thank God for giving him the opportunity to use his gifts and the support from his friends and family.
Taufiki Lee (SHERIFF BRUNER)
Always giving glory and thanks to God, Taufiki has worked with various local theater companies to include JTP, TYTTA, Agape Theater, MOJOAA, WTF and Li V Mahob. His most recent accomplishment was a debut with the NCCU theater department’s production of Dream Girls where he played as the MC. A very special shout out to Dr. Asabi and Dr. Bodie for giving him an opportunity to work with such talented NCCU students and alumni. You can see more of his work in his next production where he will play Mr. Velasco in Neil Simon’s Barefoot in the Park in Pittsboro NC. He especially thanks Michele his wife of 24 years who is affectionately referred to as his number one priority.
Janae Myrie (NURSE)
Janae Myrie is from Durham, North Carolina and is a Senior at North Carolina Central University majoring in Theatre with a concentration in Performance and Technical Theatre. She played Debbie in Cain Town by North Carolina Central University (2019) and would like to give Special Thanks to: God, my family, friends and professors for all believing in me when I couldn’t see the vision for myself that acting was a possible thing for me.
Jaelyn Shaw (SECURITY)
Jaelyn Shaw, from Smithfield, NC, is a Performance Concentration Theatre Major at NCCU. He was last seen in Kites as Stephen. He is proud to be working on this production. He wishes to thank his family and friends for believing in him and supporting him.
