Legally Blonde JR. follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. When Elle's boyfriend, Warner, dumps her and heads to Harvard, claiming she's not "serious" enough, Elle takes matters into her own hands, crafting a showy song-and-dance personal essay and charming her way into law school. Befriending classmate, Emmett, and spunky hairdresser, Paulette, along the way, Elle finds that books and looks aren't mutually exclusive.  As Elle begins outsmarting her peers, she realizes that law may be her natural calling after all.

Our Junior Division (grades 3-8) was introduced in 2012 and has grown steadily since. They not only enjoy their own full Junior Show in July but are also invited to participate in the MainStage Players' productions providing them the additional experience of performing in a large-scale production with a wider age group of performers.

Newbury Musical Theatre Company , a not-for-profit organization, was established in 2008 with the goal of offering area talent the opportunity to hone performance skills, enjoy artistic camaraderie, and develop personal confidence while entertaining our community. Under professional direction, children with varying levels of experience learn stagecraft, support, projection, timing and elocution and the importance of supporting EVERY cast member in a production.
