Fiddler on the Roof Cast

Bret Bisaillon (Tevye)
Bret R. Bisaillon is a 5th grade teacher in the Waterbury Public School System.  Bret’s most recent stage performances were as “himself” in: Bradford Blake’s, Wreck The Halls! at Sherman Players and TheatreWorks, New Milford, and Smorgasbord, TheatreWorks, New Milford.   Bret’s favorite rolls include:  “Sparky” in Forever Plaid and Forever Plaid Tidings, both at The Warner Theater and Landmark Community Theater, “Lumiere” in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, “Bob Wallace” in Irving Berlin’s, White Christmas and “Younger Brother” in Ragtime, The Musical at Landmark Community Theater,  “Lead Man 1” in Frank McCourt’s The Irish and How They Got That Way” at the Warner Theater.  Bret has been trodding the boards in local and regional theater productions in Connecticut for the past 25 years.  He would like to thank Cynthia and Jim at Newbury Musicals for this dream opportunity to play in one of his favorite roles. 
Lisa Segal (Golde)
Lisa Segal is thrilled to be playing the role of Golde in Newbury Musical Theatre’s production of Fiddler on the Roof! Lisa has performed with NMT as Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast and has had principal roles in Thoroughly  Modern Millie and Hello Dolly with Seven Angels Theatre. Lisa studies voice with Cynthia Servetas and is a lay cantorial soloist for B’nai Israel Southbury. Lisa’s most treasured role is wife to Scott and mom to Em (Shprintze!) and Matthew.
Payge Shaw (Tseitel)
PAYGE SHAW (Tzeitel) is very excited to be part of this fabulous production. Payge is a rising senior at Eastern University in Pennsylvania. Payge’s past theater experiences with NMTC include Legally Blonde (Brooke Wyndham), Mary Poppins (Winifred Banks) Beauty and the Beast (Silly Girl), Hairspray (Little Inez), and You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown (Lucy).
Nate Wheeler (Motel)
Nate Wheeler is an incoming college Junior at Wesleyan University who is more than happy to perform with Newbury for a second time. He was previously seen in Newbury’s Legally Blonde (Warner), and spends time during the school year studying film and English. He also does theater and acapella whenever he can at Wesleyan, most recently performing in Fun Home (Bruce). Nate has been doing theater for 6 years now and has no plans to stop anytime soon.
Clara Pizzolorusso (Hodel)
Clara Pizzolorusso has just graduated from Watertown High School, and will be attending Pace University in the Fall for Acting. In the past, her favorite stage roles have included the title role of Mary Poppins, “Les Misérables,” (Éponine Thenardier), “Legally Blonde,”(Elle Woods), “Clue,”(Miss Scarlet), “Mamma Mia!”(Donna Sheridan), and “Beauty and the Beast”(Belle). She has taken part in the All-State and Regional music festivals, and has won Halo Awards for her portrayals of both Éponine Thenardier and Donna Sheridan, for Best Featured and Leading Actress in a Musical.
Meric Martin (Perchik)
Meric Martin (Perchik) is pleased to be working with Newbury Musical Theater. From Brisol, CT, he studied Vocal Perfomance at WCSU, as well as, Jazz Guitar at The Army Shool of Music. When not on stage he is a fulltime UPS driver in Prospect, CT. Local credits include; The Warner Theater: Oklahoma (Curly), Ragtime (Houdini), Evita (Migaldi), Jekyl & Hyde (Spider), Forever Plaid/F.P. Plaid Tidings (Jinx). Thomaston Opera House: Urintown (Bobby Strong), Wedding Singer (George), We Will Rock You (Galaleo), JC Superstar (Judas). Musical Direction credits include; Legally Blonde, Les Mis (school edition), Rent, American Idiot, Working. Mr Martin is also an accomplished orchestra player.
Quinlyn Kessler (Chava)
Quinlyn Kessler is overjoyed to be a part of Newbury Musical Theatre Company’s production of Fiddler on the Roof! Most recently, Quinlyn has been involved in Brookfield Theatre’s production of Urinetown (Ensemble). Quinlyn is currently achieving her BFA in Musical Theatre at Manhattanville College where she has recently been seen in their production of Damn Yankees (Lowe) and Something Rotten! (Peter Quince). This Fall, she will perform in Manhattanville’s production of A Chorus Line (Maggie Winslow) Quinlyn also attended Newtown High School where she performed in The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Rosa Bud)
Andrew James Bleidner (Fyedka)
Andrew James Bleidner (FYEDKA) comes to us from the world of film and television where he has been working steadily and fruitfully for nearly a decade. His first role was in HBO's Boardwalk Empire, and his most recent roles include "Alex Lombardo" in Netflix's forthcoming true crime drama (The Good Nurse),starring Eddie Redmayne and Jessica Chastain, and "Jay" in Two-lane Backdrop, currently in post-production. If you look closely while watching the New York City scenes in Marvel's recent blockbuster 'Morbius', you may spot Andrew as Jared Leto's stunt double.He has also appeared as Peter Pan/Slightly in Lost Girl stage Production last summer,and as the villian Ministro Santander in the Off Broadway Production of The Court Martial of Almirante Montojo Off Broadway.Andrew is currently the Writer ,Co-Producer and actor on a feature filming this fall in Connecticut. A proud SAG/AFTRA member, Andrew would like to thank his parents for their endless support ,his sister Genevieve for always being a best friend and guide,and his brother Carl for continuing support and inspiration
Mary Ann Hines (Yente)
Mary Ann Hines graduated from Montclair State University back when Shakespeare was still writing plays.  After a brief foray into professional theatre in New York, she accepted a position in the office at The Russian Tea Room which led to a successful 45 year career in Hospitality.  While working at home during the Covid pandemic, she realized she no longer wanted to commute to New York City and decided to make her exit.  She is now happily retired, living in Bridgewater with her wonderful husband Paul, their two Golden Retrievers Daisy and Lily, and a goofy Irish Doodle named Finn. Being cast as Yente in Fiddler is Scene I in Act III of her life.
George McTyre (Lazar Wolf)
George McTyre is an actor based in New Haven, and studies acting at the Actors Gym and Talent in Hamden. Since moving to Connecticut, he has appeared with the New Haven Symphony Orchestra, the American Baroque Orchestra, Long Wharf Theater, Madison Lyric Stage, West Haven’s Shakespeare in the Park, Pearwater Productions, Six Flags New England’s Holiday in the Park, and the Essex Steam Train’s North Pole Express. Connecticut shows include: Man of La Mancha, Evita, Our Town, Godspell, Otello, Into the Woods, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, My Fair Lady, The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Of Mice and Men, Sister Act, and Company. George has taught voice at Drake University, Central College, Tarleton State University, and Kirkwood Community College. George holds degrees in music from Southern Methodist University, Baylor University, and post-graduate work at the University of Iowa.
