It is Christmas Eve, and an affluent businesswoman cold-hearted and heart-broken, continues in her rude and cantankerous ways. She rejects continuously rejects her father's invitation to Christmas Dinner, and is opposed to Christmas as a Holiday as a whole. She often overlooks her assistant(Alisha Santiago), who in all reality - is madly in love with her but is afraid of Willie's self-centered nature. That night, Willie receives a visit from her grandmother ; an angel who took care of Willie when she was young. Willie's grandmother brings her through the past, present, and future to show her that Christmas is love and to try to show Willie that she is really loved. She is also trying to prove that she can earn her wings to be a guardian angel. Through this journey, you will laugh and you will cry. But, most importantly you will feel this show in your heart! The “Legacy Studios” is an EdTA troupe serving New Haven Academy, a high school in the NHPS system with a diverse student population.

It is the goal of the drama program at NHA to Educate, Enrich, & Inspire each and every student while pursuing the core values of our school; Think Critically, Be Responsible, & Get Involved.

As a program we look to push boundaries and produce meaningful and relevant works of art. We will present pieces that resonate not only with our students, but also reflect our community. To achieve this we will produce 7 productions a year, that includes 2 full length plays, a full length musical, student showcases and much more.

At NHA we offer 3 sections of Drama Classes; Intro to Drama (I2D), Technical Theater, & Advanced Drama. These classes are performance based and students will showcase what they've learned throughout the semester during Town Meetings, Showcases, Drama Performances, & more.
