Welcome to the inaugural HOT JAM PUPPET SLAM, served up hot, at NECCA - New England Center for Circus Arts! Prepare to be dazzled, to laugh, cry, ask, “How did they do that?” as you devour puppetry of all flavors. 

North Star Puppets is teaming up with puppeteers from all over New England and beyond to present a fest- or is it a feast? of short acts for adult audiences! What? You’re hungry for MORE? OK, we’re serving up more tasty treats!

It’s a festival day that you won’t want to miss, organically grown right here in Brattleboro, Vermont. Come get your toast buttered with wonder! 

Part One: Family Fun Festival  

4:00-7:00 pm under the circus tent at NECCA

All Ages. No Ticket Needed. By Donation/Tips

  • 4:30. Stephen Peter Rodgers, acoustic indie rock singer/songwriter. Founder of Mighty Purple
  • 5:30-6:00. The Dragon and the Wanderer, family-friendly puppet show by Wandering Theatre
  • 6:15-6:45. Anything Can Be A Puppet workshop with Michelle Finston
  • Big Chicken Puppet
  • Misster's Catering Hot Dogs
  • Live Silkscreening Demo: BYO Shirt or Bag to get the Hot Jam logo printed on it before your eyes!

Ages 13+. Buy your tickets here. Tickets General Admission, Sliding Scale $10-$50. Ticket proceeds (after cost) go directly to performers.

    New England Center for Circus Arts is proud to host the first Hot Jam Puppet Slam. This production supports NECCA's goal to be a vital resource for the local community and beyond. We will continue to expand our ability to offer the community outstanding professional  performances, attract visiting guest artists and instructors from around the world, provide a high level of training for students who aspire to be professionals, and facilitate greater access and programming to area schools and youth organizations.
