Please join the Manatee Concert Band as we salute and show our appreciation to the men and women of the Armed Forces. This afternoon’s concert is dedicated to those servicemen and women who served our country so that we may live in a free nation. 

Ticket opportunity for our Military Guests:

Visit the box office by Thursday October 30th, bring a valid ID and your military ID card, and receive one complimentary ticket per active or retired military personnel for the November 1st concert. TICKETS MUST BE CLAIMED BY OCTOBER 30TH.

The Manatee Community Concert Band performs a wide variety of music, from standard marches, Broadway and Movie hits, timeless swing classics, pop, classical and much more. Our goal has always been to provide the community a venue in which to perform as well as the opportunity to entertain our community with great musical selections. Members of this band come from all walks of life—collectively embracing over 2,100 years of musical experience. The expertise levels vary from members who have played in high school or college and now enjoy playing as a hobby since their retirement, to many who have been professional musicians for over 40 years, including some that have composed and arranged instrumental and choral music, and some that have directed their own bands.

Our members appreciate the experience received by participating in the weekly, fast-paced and demanding rehearsals; others enjoy the anti-aging effects of keeping their mind sharp through the continued practice of a life-long discipline. However, the common denominator is the love of music and the joy that only performing music for an audience can bring.

The Manatee Community Concert Band is known for its dedication to excellence, whether playing for the local community or performing for community events. The band relies on donations from generous individuals and corporations who love music. Through your support we are able to introduce people of all ages to live concert music, providing musical experiences and playing opportunities for all ages. Through the power of music, we impact thousands of lives annually. Since 1966, the Neel has served as a cultural center for the surrounding communities both in Sarasota and Manatee county. Home to the Performing Arts programs at SCF, this performance hall features 830 seats, a 65ft x 40ft stage and the Elizabeth M. Eaton Pipe Organ: a 50-rank, 3-manual instrument built by master craftsman Charles McManis.
