About Soul Struttin' Symphony with the SCF Jazz Ensembles
Ever since Buddy Bolden took his Holy Roller trumpet calls out of the church and onto the streets of New Orleans in the 1920s, jazz and gospel music have strutted their way through American music history. Get ready to groove your spirit from Jennifer Hudson to Alicia Keys to Synia Carroll. This concert is a tribute to Soul, born from American Gospel, Blues, and Jazz, featuring the sensational SCF Jazz Orchestra directed by Dr. Pete Carney alongside guest vocalist Synia Carroll.
