Banished by the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan, a human boy named Mowgli and his panther friend, Bagheera, are on the run in the deepest parts of the jungle. On their journey, the two meet a sinister snake named Kaa, a herd of elephants and a giant bear named Baloo, who teaches them the swingin' musical rhythms of the jungle. After surviving a dangerous encounter with a band of monkeys led by King Louie, Mowgli and Bagheera are forced to run for their lives. When Shere Khan returns, our heroes must rally their fellow animals into battle and restore peace throughout the jungle.

Myrtle Beach Area Children's Theater is a teaching theater for ages 5 - 18. Myrtle Beach A.C.T. holds 10 and 12 week sessions in the Fall and the Spring consisting of classes and culminating in a performance.  Students will work on music and singing skills, dance and choreography, acting and technique, teamwork, costume and set design, and many other aspects of theatre.  They will learn through various methods of teaching, including drama games, application through their assigned character, technical warm ups and exercises.  Additionally Myrtle Beach A.C.T. takes a performing group to the Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta annually.  Week long musical theater camps are also held each summer.  This Winter we are beginning our first ever 3 Week Workshops where students will work on their technical skills in Dance, Acting, and Singing.  Connect with us on social media or send us your email address to be included in our communications about upcoming classes.
