About Dani Bee "Laugh After Death"

"Edinburgh Fringe Festival alum and standup comedian Dani Bee is debuting her new one woman show, Laugh after Death, at the Kalita Humphreys Theater, December 16th at 8 PM. Most little kids feel weird visiting their grandparents in hospitals or senior communities- but for Dani, it was a chance to see all her friends! This foreshadowed her later career working at a medical facility for geriatric patients with dementia or Alzheimer’s, which is the hilarious, heartbreaking focus of her show. In the tradition of one person shows like Phoebe Waller Bridge's "Fleabag" (which the TV show is based on) or John Leguizamo's "Sexaholics", Bee brings to life a vibrant cast of colorful characters from her no-nonsense parents to her favorite elderly patients and friends. You'll laugh, you'll cry, and if you have any experience with grief, loss, or dealing with loved ones with dementia or Alzheimer’s, it's sure to be show you'll never forget.

Moondance Theatre

There’s Magic in the Theatre , and the Theatre is Magic…
There is something truly magical about theatre. The way it brings people together, the way it
teaches us about ourselves and the world around us.
At Moondance Theatre, we believe that theatre changes lives.
MOONDANCE THEATRE IS MORE THAN JUST A SHOW. IT'S A FAMILY.
Our community theatre has brought together people of all ages and backgrounds to create
something beautiful. From our performers and technicians to our musicians and audience
members, we have built a family founded on trust, determination, communication, and
teamwork. But as you know, the pandemic has hit us hard. We had to close our doors and our
theatre family was forced to scatter.
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT TO MAKE OUR DREAM A REALITY.
We're reaching out to you today because we're looking for exclusive partners who share our
belief in the transforming power of theatre. We have a dream of creating our own venue where
our community can gather and continue to create magic for years to come. But we need your
help to make this dream a reality.
YOUR SUPPORT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
As of 2012, individual giving makes up 42 percent of the total revenue for the arts. Your
donation can make a significant impact on our theatre and help us create a permanent home
for our theatre family. We know that times are tough, but we're asking you to consider making a
donation to support the arts and our community.
JOIN OUR THEATRE FAMILY
We invite you to join our theatre family and be a part of something truly special. Your donation
will not only help us create a new venue but also give us the resource to continue to provide
quality theatre experiences for everyone.
Thank you for your consideration, and we hope to see you at one of our shows soon!
