About Mean Girls

MV Performing Arts Presents:

MEAN GIRLS The Musical

The High School Edition

This Monte Vista production is the highly anticipated collaboration between Drama, Choir, Band and Dance! We will be one of the first High Schools to produce the show Mean Girls, written by SNL and 30 Rock legend, Tiny Fey!

Cady Heron may have grown up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the wild and vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois. How will this naïve newbie rise to the top of the popularity pecking order? By taking on The Plastics, a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. But when Cady devises a plan to end Regina’s reign, she learns the hard way that you can’t cross a Queen Bee without getting stung.

MEAN GIRLS gets to the hilarious heart of what it means to be a true friend, a worthy nemesis and, above all, a human being.

Show dates: March 1, 2, 3, & 4 at 7:00 p.m. in MV's Al GentileTheater

Tickets: Students $10 / Adults $16

Life is full of drama, why not join the club?

The Monte Vista Theatre Arts Department is comprised of six parts: Theatre Arts 1, Theatre Arts 2, Theatre Arts 3, Play Production, Stage Crafts, and Drama Club. We work together to put on three productions a year; a fall comedy, a winter drama, and a spring musical. The object of the Drama Club is to heighten school interest in the area of the performing arts. The club will support all Monte Vista drama productions, including plays and improvisational comedy.
