Welcome to YOUR GREATEST SHOW CAMP (Greatest showman themed). Your child has officially joined theGreatest Cast of dancers that has ever been.

Learn how to craft an amazing show from start to finish in this dazzling dance cirque camp. Bring your top hat and circus gear and get ready to come alive! Learn the art of storytelling, choreography, dance cirque tricks, and build performance confidence for the stage. Say it loud and proud, “This is ME!”.

We are expecting a fun and exciting summer camp season with all of our campers. You are registered for the session dates listed on your ticket. Be sure to mark your calendar! This four day camp starts at 9:00am and ends at 12:00pm each day. 

You will be required to sign your child in and out of camp each day at the front desk.

Each day will be filled with fun, hands-on activities that will allow your child to explore dance, improvisation, theatrical storytelling, and discover their inner gifts. They will learn foundational principles of dance in ballet, jazz, ballroom, and contemporary. Below is a schedule of topics that will be explored each day. 

Monday 7/8 circus props: 

Your dreams of dancing with scarves, hoops, ribbons, canes, capes, and top hats come to life! Learn how to use props in your choreography. Decorate your circus tent with everything needed for a spectacular show!

Tuesday 7/9 theater games: 

This day is about performance techniques/games - foundations of Improv and storytelling. Be prepared to belly laugh with your friends as you spend the day playing acting/theater games. 

Wednesday 7/10 shadow dancing: 

Towers of gold will never be enough as we make our very own lanterns and dance in the shadows! Todays theme is lyrical dance that incorporates both jazz and ballet technique. Learn how to express your emotions through dance and make new friends! 

Thursday 7/11 choreography: 

What's your story? From now on, how will you live and share your talents and gifts with your community? Get ready to produce the most amazing show Monarch has ever seen! Today is the big performance day! Parents are invited to a special in-studio showcase at 11:30am!

*We will break at 10:45am-11:15am everyday for snack time.

Notes for a successful experience:

• Wear clothes that you can dance and move in! Dancers can wear dance clothes or althetic clothes all week and ballet shoes, jazz shoes or bare feet. No baggy clothing or slippery socks please.
• Please leave all electronic devices in your bag.
• Food is not provided during camps. Please send your child with a fruit or vegetable mid-morning snack as well as a water bottle. Water will be available for refills. Please label your child’s water bottle with his or her name.
• Campers may go outside in the rear of our building in the grassy area with Miss Amanda for snack time if weather permits.
• Parents/guardians are not required to stay in the building.
